Small Scratch in DVD - can't Ignore Read Errors !!!!

This is such a common problem that I simply can't believe no one has made a utility to deal with it. You may have a scratch, or simply a corrupted section. It will usually mean that a couple of minutes of video are gone forever. To most people, they would GLADLY be able to recover the other 1 hour and 58 mninutes of video . . . . but no.

ANYDVD will not skip bad sectors.
DVD Decrypter will but it takes forever - it spends quite a while on each sector before skipping it. You come back 3 hours later and it is still churning.

They should add a routine for this - letting you select to automatically move forward by 100 sectors at a time and then retry, until the scratch has been bypassed. Such a routine would also have to be able to rewrite some of the DVD structure since it will no longer be indexed correctly with a VOB that is missing a bunch of frames. The final VOB file would have that "hole" in it - but at least you have recovered the VOB !!!

You might want to try ISOPuzzle.

Also, you must understand AnyDVD is much different compared to DVD Decrypter.
