Yah, I think I'll take advantage of this coupon for my Mom's computer. I have a question though, but please bear with me while I provide a little background information before asking my actual question.

After many reformats (or dead-drive replacements & fresh installs) of Windows 2000; SP4, I learned a time saving lesson. I created and shelved a drive that I use only for cloning another blank but NTFS formatted drive (using PowerQuest's Drive Copy). This "Master Cloning Drive" has on it only W2000;SP4 and the multiple utilities (all free or paid for) that I always use. Of course included in those utilities & small programs is CloneDVD, CloneCD and AnyDVD because I want them on the same partition & close to the OS.

Then the only job I have left is to create new partitions (PQ Partition Magic) for Programs & Data. I then proceed to load all the big software programs that are my current preferences (MS Office, Adobe, etc, etc.) onto the appropriate 2cnd partition and then preference the data saving from those programs to loacate in "My Documents" type folders located on the third "Data" partition for easy data-only backups.

I just built a new computer for my mom which will replace the piece of crap FAT formatted box that my mucho-frugal father said would be "just fine for your mother(!)". I have already got it up, loaded and running with 2 HDD's and a Ripper and a Burner.

My question is that it occured to me that since she is not under my roof (out of state), Slysoft deserves their due $$ and I want to use the current discount coupon. Can I just uninstall all three SS programs, download fresh CDVD, CCD & ADVD zips, buy new keys and apply them? Or should I (do i need to) delete the Slysoft folders completely and delete the registry entries for SS too? And, let me add, that since this is my FU, I am willing to reformat, start fresh, and do it right if need be.

Summary of question: do I just uninstall all three programs (from SS's own uninstall routines), reinstall new downloads, and first-time apply the new keys? Or is there more to it?

Please no postings from hotshots that would help in the pirating of SS products. PM me if it is inappropriate that such info be on the cdf threads. I'll provide my original email and key info if this involves a SS official response.

Thanks Dennis L, just got a AnyDVD and CloneDVD licence. Ended up costing 49$ for both.

EDIT: Also I thank linx05 for bringing my attention to this topic.

There is no need to uninstall at all (you can do this if it makes you feel better). Just apply the new keys and you're done. They will replace the keys (if any) present in your registry.
