Slysoft may have Fixed AnyDVD with 6.3.1.2

WTF did they do to AnyDVD?? Here's some weird sh*t that seems to be associated since I installed 6.3.1.2......

The AnyDVDTray.exe sometimes fails to auto load, and is flagged by Comodo Firewall????

It doesn't show up as a decrypter in 1Click DVDCopy's log???

Major conflict with my Xvid codec's dll... which could be related to AnyDVD since Comodo flagged AnyDVD as attempting to associate itself with some system dll???

WTF Slysoft????
You seemed to have created a more intrusive version all of a sudden??

Looks like I will probably go back to 6.3.0.0

Hey chief...it's not like I have problems everyday dude...

You should realize that different system configurations have different results... or don't you lknow that yet? lmao

I have been on AnyDVD's side for a long time, however since I loaded this version of AnyDVD, Comodo has flagged it several times already.

And it has basically caused AutoGK with the Xvid codec to have dll errors constantly.... and just by coincedence Comodo Firewall flagged AnyDVD as attempting to want to associate itself with some system dll's...

Maybe this is all some weird coincedences, if so I'll figure it out.

Oh... and Bob, I guess you're somewhat naive if you think that just because a software worked OK for you for a few days, that it 'MUST' be right

..LMAO

Re: Slysoft may have F*ed AnyDVD up with 6.3.1.2

BTW Bob... do you have Auto GK, Xvid codec, or Comodo Firewall on your system???

Also... I've already uninstalled AGK and the Xvid Codec... which worked flawlessly with AnyDVD 6.3.0.0, and I'll check out ANYDVDs activities without them.
Then reinstall them and see if again, it causes the errors. If yes again... then I'll revert back to 6.3.0.0 and see if all's stable again.

There is a chance that I may have over-reacted, if so I'll be the first to admit I jumped the gun.. Just seemed so coincidental..

Hmmm..sorry...also working fine here.
Made 2 back-ups today and everything went smoothly as usual.

PS...I don´t have any of the software you mentioned either...so obviously conflicts sound like the issue

ICLICK has already fixed this in a beta that will be released soon. Yes, the reason is because DVDProfiler "blacklisted" AnyDVD.exe, because AnyDVD altered the DiscID values returned from IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID
Now AnyDVD hooks IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID so there is no reason for it to blacklist it in DVDProfiler, and no reason to unblacklist and version check either (no IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID support from AnyDVD.exe, IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID support from AnyDVDtray.exe). You just have to change it in your A/V program. There is nothing ominous here, they just made it better than before. If you look in your Task Manager it is called AnyDVDtray.exe now.

Re: Slysoft may have F*ed AnyDVD up with 6.3.1.2

You seem to be right about why Comodo was flagging AnyDVD.
It just had to notify me because it didn't recognize it and ask for custom configuration of how and what I want to allow AnyDVD to do. Which I now have done and I blocked AnyDVD attempting to ride IE7 for access everytime I opened the internet?? and no, not talking about the auto-update, that's unchecked in AnyDVD..

I also re-installed AutoGK with the Xvid codec and it also seems to be wirking fine now...hmmm?? Just one of those weird coincedences as to why the Xvid.dll was failing.

So, I seem to have over-reacted guys... Sorry for the false alarm...It's just that I rarely have any conflicts on any of my PCs, so this was a shock to my senses..LOL

Last conflict I had was when Lavasoft converted over to AdAware 2007, I had a failed install over and over again, while some others were saying as Bob & Dr Who were sayin... "no problems here."
However, in that case, it was all Lavasofts error, which was documented in their forum due to being flooded by an enormous amount of those who had the very same problem.. They have since fixed it and I installed in onto my system without as much as a hiccup..

BTW, Sorry for geeting so defensive Bob///

So you're saying that is why 1Click doesn't show AnyDVD in their logs?

But that doesn't state that it would be flagged by Firewalls as a possible malware.

Thanks Bob, I knew it wasn't harming my PC, but rather that it might have been trying to gain control of some video related aspects without my consent... LOL, my paranoia, that's all...

Good move Dr. Who, I have used Kapersky Internet Security since they started with it and I could not be happier.
