No I'm getting ready for the new future W2K. Likr the little duck "The sky is falling"! LOL I think I'll get some and sale them on ebay trhey are stupid enough to buy anything there.LOL Just kidding. I still havn't bought CloneDVD so I may get that now, I did a trial and was amazed at the minor difference in quality comparing to shrink...Don't get me wrong both are good but I thing Clonedvd is superior.

i still think dvd shrink has better quality, but here's what i do for the absolute best quality you can get out of shrink:

use clonedvd in DL mode (no transcoding/compression) and remove all extra audio tracks and titlesets that i do not want. save this to hard disk.

i think use that folder and shrink it to SL size with dvd shrink and backup as full disc. that way i don't lose menus by messing around with settings in shrink.

then i burn it with ImgBurn or clonedvd again.

it sounds out there, but if you like how clonedvd2 can edit while keeping menus and you like how dvd shrink transcodes with deep analysis and its other advanced settings, then it's a great way to go.

i only do this on discs that require more than 20% compression (ie at lower than 80%) otherwise, you're right...the difference is negligible and not worth the time investment.

clonedvd, clonecd and anydvd are bargains. the $15 off is a super deal. just called several friends and had them buy it. the three are a great deal at $78, but at $63, they are a steal. anyway, the quality difference between clonedvd and dvd decrypter is not noticable to me, but then i don't have a plasma tv, or for that matter a tv of any real size. the ease of using clonedvd more than makes up for any difference anyway.

on the other hand, i have seen several posts about cracks lately (i am referring to the hack kind, not the plumber kind). when you have a chance to buy the software at this price there is no excuse for not supporting the developers.
