I just tried the right click>burn to hard drive and checked the box...man is my drive hanging up! VTS_07_01 is where it comes to a screeching halt.

Try Anydvd 6.1.1.1 or later

1. The best way to rip using Anydvd is to use Clonedvd2. If you can't or are not willing to do that, this is how you rip using Anydvd:

2. With the latest version of Anydvd running, drag and drop the video_ts folder to your desktop using Windows Explorer. Alternatively, you don't need to rip at all and can just directly import the disc into whatever burning application you want, provided Anydvd is running in the background. You don't necessarily need to rip first at all. Not having to rip first at all is one major advantage of using Anydvd.

3. If you can't get what you want using #1 and #2 first, then you right click on the fox icon on your toolbar and select rip video-dvd to hard disk--but only if methods 1 and 2 fail first. This method uses an old version of FixVTS, which is often not required.

Seems to me many people are using Anydvd ripper first. If people aren't going to be ripping to iso, they might as well be trying Clonedvd2 first instead.

It seems that to many people do not understand the real purpose of this tool. You are right AnyDVD, CloneDVD2, anyone can try it for free.

The AnyDVD ripper feature still uses the FixVTS code. An older version that is pre-gpl. As explained previously, they can not use the newest code without jeopardizing the commercial value of AnyDVD as the GPL license requires any code using GPL licensed source to publish the source code of the product using it. Publishing the source code to AnyDVD is not going to happen for obvious reasons. That's why it doesn't use the latest FixVTS and why Slysoft is/was considering replacing it with their own code. However, given my recent conversation with James and the things on his plate, I do not expect to see any changes to this functionality any time soon.

Still doing the same on all methods with 6.1.1.1. Will have to wait for an update it seems.

Slysoft said we may have to wait until they get the disc before an update is released. I don't think they mentioned when they may be getting it, however. IFOs were sent already but they apparently aren't enough in this case...Slysoft said they may need the whole disc. All we can do is wait. I plan on picking this up tomorrow so I hope they get a fix out soon.

Yea, that's the one. But I'm not sure if they're still considering it or not. Most of the time it's only ever used by people using third party software. Notice I said MOST of the time. So maybe they just don't care as they're too busy doing other things. More than likely it's "on the list" but they just can't get to it.

I am not so sure they have not done it already. I will try and find out.

Somehow I seriously doubt it...otherwise they would have said something.

I really do not know, but I can find out easily enough. It never hurts to ask.

Good time for a test drive I say.

"Failed to get dvd information" then asks for info to send.

I cannot get this to work I have AnyDVD 6.1.0.7 and I cannot copy it to my hard drive.
I have also tried the DVDFab Decrypter beta as well as ripitforme.

Any help would be appreciated.

i also have problems to copy Saw 3.

anydvd must try 3 times to recognize the dvd before it sees it. the first 2 times it tells me that the cd might be scratched. and then we he finally sees it, it is clonedvd that stops me telling me that it cant burn copyrighted dvd.

i tried many other programs (dvdfab, ripit4me, etc..) but no sucess
i dunno what i should do...

I just made a Movie Only backup of Saw111 with CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD 6.1.1.1. I had a small problem with Menus and extras but " Movie only backed up fine.

Currently Using CloneDVD 2.9.0.3 and AnyDVD 6.1.1.1 (newest update). Had similar problems making a back-up copy of my Saw 3. After updating AnyDVD and retrying I got the same error on menu 7. So I decided to check out which sections that were causing me troubles.

Right now my back-up is finishing burning. All I did was in the second section of CloneDVD "Title Configuration" checked for errors in the titles. In Title 07, 15,16 & 17 I got the same "preview error"

So I unchecked the 4 titles involved. Went forward and copied entire movie. As I said above it has ripped everything and I am waiting on the copy to finish burning to test it. But so far so good. It got past all the original errors by doing this.
