RPC2 Issue?

Hi All! I'm really new to the world of AnyDVD so I apologise if my problem is trivial. I've got an Acer notebook which has a Matshita UJ 840S drive.

I installed AnyDVD and tried to watch my DVDs (I've got a bunch of them from various regions, all legit). I managed to watch a R1 disc without problems (this was the first DVD). After that, I tried a R2 disc and it brought up a window saying that I couldn't watch it because it the drive was an RPC2? I'm not certain what means. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

The Matsushita (Panasonic) UJ 840S is one of the few drives, that cannot be made region free using AnyDVD. There is no known solution, and other software can't do it either.
The only solution is to either replace the intrenal drive or use an external (USB, Firewire) drive.

Boycott Matsushita drives.

Re: RPC2 Issue?

Thanks Tru. What a pain! I wish I had the chance to boycott it but it comes preinstalled in my notebook. I'll have to find an external drive then but it's such a waste of time, money and effort.

*grumble*

Thanks for your feedback, though, Tru.
