Region code free for all applications? - Club CDFreaks

What does "region code free for all applications" mean? A Japanese friend bought a region 1 DVD movie. After the fact, I told him the Japan is Region 2 and it won't work there. I have AnyDVD. If I make him another with 1-Click/AnyDVD. Will he be able to play it on his home DVD player in Japan? Is there any settings I need to change in either program?

Welcome to CDF:

As long as it's a NTSC player it should work. If it's PAL you will have to convert it.
