AnyDVD Discuss, red eye not working at Copy Movie forum; I have anydvd 5.8.11 and clonedvd2 2.8.5.1 amd I could not copy red eye. Does anyone have any solutions for me. Thank you in advance.

I realize this is your first post .... but how can anyone provide a solution when you have not stated what the problem is.

Read a few posts in the CloneDVD and AnyDVD areas. See how other people pose questions to their problems. Then come on back and expand on your post.

What Region DVD are you trying to backup?

Had no problem backing up Region1 WS Version of Redeye that I just purchased last night. Here is my AnyDVD Log:

Summary for drive G: (AnyDVD 5.8.1.1)
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)

Video DVD (or CD) label: RED_EYE
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!

RCE protection not found.
DVD structure appears to be correct.
Structural copy protection not found.
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Bad sector protection not found.
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

data error (cyclic redundancy check) File 1 E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_07_3.VOB 23 TCSectorReader and this is for region 1

Looks like this is in the middle of a title set. Most likely a defective DVD (or DVD reader?). If you have a different drive to try, please do so. Try to clean the surface of the DVD.

thanks for all the info rebooted the computer and cleaned dvd and then it worked.

cyclic redundancy check error
= usually inabilty to read disk
ie scratch, dirty dvd or dvd reader
