Quality of my backup!!! I might not have this in the right place but here goes, I have jackass number 2, I made a full copy woth all the extras, My problem is I only have 4.7 gig discs, and I want better quality video without sacrificing the extras which I want. Is there a beter way to back it up with better quality than the clonedvd 2 v 2.9.0.3 and I have anydvd v6.1.0.0. When I did back it up, I could only get it up to 55% quality n clonedvd2. Any help would be great. I usually backup just the movie but this jackass 2 has some really funny outtakes.... ![]()

Re: Quality of my backup!!! Davidstjohn3: You could split it into 2 SL DVD's or clone it to a DL DVD (I know you said you don't have any). Another option would be to rip it to your computer and watch it there. If the main movie and extras are more than 4.7, you will need to compress it. Can you eliminate some of the extras such as extra audio tracks, Director's Comments (if any)?

Re: Quality of my backup!!! If the quality of your output is high priority perhaps you should look at DVD-Rebuilder.

Re: Quality of my backup!!! Let me be of assistence on this one. My recommendation is this: Using the Clone DVD option(second button) in CloneDVD, set CloneDVD output to DVD-DL disc instead of DVD-5. Then unselect any unwanted extras such as movie trailers or extras you don't need/want. On the next screen remove any languages you don't need. Now rip it to your hard drive. Once it's on the hard drive, play it back in a software DVD player like PowerDVD or WinDVD to verify that it's working the way you want. Next use DVD Shrink's full disc mode to compress it down. That'll give you decent quality and still allow you to remove some of the stuff you don't need. If you're adventerous, then linx05's suggestion of using DVD-Rebuilder is indeed going to give you the best quality. Personally, I'd just get myself some DL discs and call it a day so I could skip all this nonsense, but, if you're trying to save money by getting it onto one DVD-5, that's the best way to go.
