Re: Problems with older movies.

what version of anydvd are you using?

TCSector Reader is not an AnyDVD error message. I assume that's from CloneDVD? what version of that are you using?

are the discs scratched up? DVD Decrypter is a "tougher" ripper if you will. It will often get through scratches and things that CloneDVD and many other programs can't.

Re: Problems with older movies.

Anydvd 5.8.3.1. Clonedvd 2.8.5.1. The discs are slightly scratched. I've seen Clone handle worse. They are adult movies, which AFAIK are produced cheaply, so maybe it has something to do with the physical quality of the original?

Re: Problems with older movies.

that could be it. seems really strange though. I guess if you've got them copied, then all is well. Just shows how important it is to have a variety of tools and the ability to be flexible at your disposal.

Since you mentioned they are adult films, I'll all but guarantee that they aren't copy protected. None that I have are at least.

Re: Problems with older movies.

Nearly all of them have the analog macrovision. A few with CSS. A lot of them aren't though.
