| Problems with AnyDVD and Roxio... Sorry if this post is redundant but I am new to this forum and have been through many threads and still can't find a clear answer. I have AnyDVD 5.7.2.1 fully licensed to me (not cracked). It worked great until I installed Roxio Easy DVD/CD Creator 6 Platinum. Then AnyDVD issues an error message saying there is no DVD burner installed on my system. From reading many other posts, it seems the problem comes from Roxio's direct packet writing driver that allows Drive Letter Access (DLA) to the burner in Windows Explorer, and the ability to drag-n-drop files directly to the burner drive. There are many mixed messages here including different version of Nero and their InCD driver. It works for some and not for others. Other say to avoid direct packet writing drivers like the plague. Here is my question to which I need a definitive asnwer: Is there any DVD/CD burning software that allows DLA with drag-n-drop to my burner that will not cause a conflict with AnyDVD? I really want to keep this kind of functionality on my PC. I would appreciate anyones advice and sorry for such a verbose post. Thanks. Cheers ![]() |

| Re: Problems with AnyDVD and Roxio... I am using Roxio EZ 6 OEM which came with my Plextor 708A. Installed it without the 'drag to disk' component. Have had no problem/conflict with the AnyDVD or CloneDVD2 programs. You can go to add/remove in Control panel and select 'change' to install/reinstall without the 'drag to disk' if you wish to use Roxio. Others may prefer some other burning software but if you pick another it would be best to avoid installing the packet writing/'drag to disk' component in my opinion. Hope fully someone has found some software that will not interfere but I don't know of any. regards |
