I have added sorting of VOBU admap and Cell admap, although I am not certain if this is a requirement of the DVD specification or if it is a Nero Recode / DVDShrink bug which they should fix. As I don't think that sorting should cause any undesired side effects, and because DVDShrink is dead software and will never be updated, I have added this change.
Please let me know, if this version fixes your problems.
This version does not fix the problem, with DVD Shrink/Nero Recode...
I just tried with Bewitched Region 2 Greek...
Here are the IFOs...

I think you should take a look at the sources of FixVTS
( http://www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS/Dow....17Sources.zip )...
This application solves the problem completelly and efficientally...

James,

Might I make a suggestion if you do plan on adding a fix for the DVD Shrink problem? DVD Shrink requires that you do a bunch of remapping of the internal dvd structure or whatever it is fixvts does. If you decide to add similar functionality, can you make a selectable option in AnyDVD to turn "DVD Shrink compatibility mode" on/off? That way if we DON'T want it to remap things by default we can turn it off. Thanks!

Re: Problematic titles in Greece

The problem is not so much with DVD Shrink...
The initial analysis may be wrong, but after deep analysis everything appears as it should be...
On the other hand, Nero Recode does not have a seperate step of deep analysis, so there is no way to for the program to correctly analyze the DVD and make a full disk back-up, since the main movie appears to be uncompressable...

@SamuriHL
Why would you not want such a feature, enabled by default?

I would guess because CloneDVD2 can already handle what AnyDVD does - why would us CloneDVD2 users want it to do something that is not needed?

I disagree that the problem is not with Shrink and Recode. CloneDVD does not have this problem at all. It can handle the DVD structure as is. That is why I don't want it enabled by default...it's a useless option unless you're using Recode and Shrink. If they'd bother to update those programs(yes, I know, Shrink is dead and Recode might as well be given the 'support' Nero has provided for it) then this remapping wouldn't be necessary in the first place. Read the threads...everyone having these kinds of issues are using Shrink or Recode. DVDFab Decrypter is specifically updated to handle this kind of thing on a regular basis. IOW, they're having to fix something for a bug in two programs that'll never get fixed. If AnyDVD does the same, I want an option to shut it off as I don't use either of those programs.

@abrown15
Because after that, the output resembles, in the best way, an ordinary DVD...
...and there is no apparent drawback...

@SamuriHL
So this request of yours is somehow a protest against DVD Shrink and Nero recode and in favor of CloneDVD?
Because, there is no apparent drawback in enabling by default, this feature...
...even for a user of CloneDVD

Re: Problematic titles in Greece

I have nothing against DVD Shrink or Recode other than the fact that they don't fix their own damn bugs. It's tiring to see SO many posts related to those two programs and Nero's apathy towards fixing ANY bugs in Recode. DVD Shrink is no longer updated and supported, so, I guess you get what you pay for there. I just don't see why it's necessary for AnyDVD to put yet another bug fix for yet another product into the code. Just because it doesn't have any "apparent" drawbacks doesn't mean I want it enabled. You're messing with the dvd structure unecessarily because another program can't deal with it. It's not like I'm saying the option SHOULDN'T be there for crying out loud. I'm saying it should be optional. That's all.

I did have a look at what FixVTS does. It does nice things, but it must read the entire VOB files to verify / reconstruct the .ifo files. A ripper could do this (maybe we should write one... AnyDVDDecrypter?), but AnyDVD can't. Remember - AnyDVD is a device driver which needs to respond to random access. It cannot read the whole DVD and fix navigation packs here and then.
AnyDVD can only operate on the structures found in the .ifo files.

I've often wondered if it'd be a good idea for you guys to add a new rick click menu item in AnyDVD called "Copy to hard drive..." where you select an output directory and it automatically creates a folder with the same name as the DVD and simply copies the VIDEO_TS contents to it. Would that be possible?

Sure, and we have already thought about this.

I think for some people it'd be a very useful option. Especially with this ripguard crap and people using DVD Shrink. That way you could remap the streams during the copy to the hard drive if necessary.
