Re: problem with Flight 93

I had an issue with dvd shrink and United 93 as well. This is what I did to get around it and all went well. It was an error I don't remember but never seen before either. Something in the relms of the program error did 9/11 the commision report no issues there. used clonedvd and all went well on United 93. The error code was " Program Error - Exception Occured ". Did the drag and drop to the desktop all went well there retried through dvd shrink same thing. Re-ripped it to the desktop all went well tried with dvd shrink same thing. I did other movies that were new yesterday and this didn't happen to them. Like I said those that are wanting to backup United 93 do it with anydvd and clonedvd it'll work just fine with that combonation.....LOL go figure. Way to go Slysoft I think that shrink is going to be useless in about 1 year now due to structures and such on the newer DVD's.

Re: problem with Flight 93 Sony movie

I made an error in my post. The TITLE of the movie I was trying to backup was "UNITED 93" Sony release.

United 93 is a Universal movie not a Sony flick.
Please post your AnyDVD info for further help.

There is nothing hard about United 93 with anydvd. This is a freind of mines post to as I don't use jump directly to the title.

Re: problem with Flight 93 Sony movie

I didn't have problems ripping with anydvd either. What did puzzle me though is what anydvd registered on its backup disc.

Summary for drive F: (AnyDVD 6.0.5.1)
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd+r (version 1), Layers: 1
Total size: 2283616 sectors (4460 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: UNITED_93
Media is not CSS protected.
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is region free.

RCE protection not found.
Found & removed wrong DVD structure!
Found & removed error zones between files!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 2 bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

Wasn't anydvd supposed to remove the founds the first time???

Re: problem with Flight 93 Sony movie

All Clonedvd does is eliminate a step and it's easier I'll give you that. Dvd Shrink and Imgburn are free and do the same thing as Clonedvd. Dvd Shrink worked just fine on United 93 for me. I really don't see a need to get Clonedvd just yet.
