| Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here Actually, I've tried it on three PCs other than the one on which it was burned now. All say that their DVDs are set to region 1, but none can play this particular disc. I tried reinstalling all relevant software and making another copy with the same result. This is odd - it's the first time we've had anything like this happen. The bonus disc for the Lion King SE seems to have backed up just fine, and is viewable on any of the standalone or PC DVD drives. Thanks. |

| mommacat your lion king problem For all its worth, after reading your posting I attempted to make a copy of it. I had no problem what so ever, using AnyDVD, and a program called Intervideo DVDCopy2 that I purhcased from a online store for $8.00 (the new version does 8 gig discs too, but costs almost $50.00) then burned it with Nero 6.xx. All worked great in 2 computers and 4 differeent home dvd players. Any chance you had a "smudge" on the disc? I am in the habit of cleaning all discs before ripping, and burning. Just for my 2 cents worth to your question. I have no idea of the region setting, but I am in the USA, and have had no problem with any of the discs I burned except for a buget set of blanks I purchased that have a 70% failure rate, live and learn. |

Mr Garcia, the only time I have had any burnign problems with Nero is when I used some real cheep blanks (ended up having a 70% failure rate) or when a video file had an error in it, or if the blank was dirty. I am in the habit of cleanign all blanks before burning, and testing all audio, video, and image files before burning. I use Paint Shop Pro for example on teh image files andtake a look at image informaiton, for video files I use several different file identifiers (all freeware easy to find online) and if there is a problem I run the file through WINAvi a video file converter that seems to correct erors also. I hoep one of these tips might be of assistance to you. I did try to burn a combo disc of video files and images, and audio, I had no problem with Nero 6.xx with playback, for audio I use Audition 1.5, which I upgraded from cool edit pro that I find is the best audio converter qualifer that I have used. Hope some of this might help.

| Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here Olli I have read your comments about setting the DVD reigon to 1. Is this the best number to choose regardless of where you live or what discs you want to burn? I don't think theres any going back once it's set, mine says I have 4 changes remaining. Thanks. |

Depending on the make of your drive you can flash the firmware to make it region free, or re-set the number of changes. Although if you don't need to I wouldn't bother!

| Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here Hello- This is my first time posting here. Thanks for providing this service. Here is my problem: I am using CloneDVD2 version 2.8.4.1, and AnyDVD version 5.2.7.2. I cannot make a backup copy of the movie "A Bronx Tale". I get an error message saying that the movie is CSS copyright protected. I have never had this problem while backing up any other DVDs that I own. Any suggestions? |
