AnyDVD Discuss, Please post your AnyDVD Questions here at Copy Movie forum; Joe, Thanks for the reply. I can't find any computer that has CDVDX.VXD. I had to take my file off the hard drive because it's corrupted and wouldn't let me into my files. I can't find it on the web, either. I just need someone

Joe,
Thanks for the reply. I can't find any computer that has CDVDX.VXD. I had to take my file off the hard drive because it's corrupted and wouldn't let me into my files. I can't find it on the web, either. I just need someone to send me their file. I can't get it off the Win98 disk either...it's not there!

It's supposed to be in cab47. And you have to get the spelling correct. It's
CDVSD.VXD

Hope this helps.

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

I have checked all the files on the Windows98 Disk, including cabs.
If I have time and chance, I'll try to find the file on my sons PC. If possible, I'll send it to you.

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

I am in Arizona USA and have a Pioneer DVD-RWDVR-106D 1.07 DVD Burner with AnyDVD v. 4.0.4.1 and Roxio Easy DVD Copy 7 Build 7.1.0.95 ENU. The Burner is region 1 but can be changed to other regions 4 times before it will not change regions again.

I want to purchase a 4 DVD set region 2 PAL and wanted to know if I will be able to copy it so I can play it on my region 1 DVD player for my widescreen tv.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

I had no problem using AnyDVD 4.0.4.1 with Roxio Easy DVD Copy 7. It was perfect.

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

If you use AnyDVD you don't have to change the Region setting of your burner. Don't forget to set the Region code removal in AnyDVD and you can make a backup that will be region free.

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

I've run into this problem rip dvd9-dvd5 with anydvd 4.0.4.1 run in background
ripp with dvdshrink movie only, during ripping at about 50% I noted dvdshrink buffers increase to 1500MB normally the buffers about 80-90MB every thing ripped find to HD (VIDEO_TS), burn with nero latest, and play movie on player it hang/freeze or audio out of sync at chapter 16-17 and on.

I did another try ripping with dvdshrink v3.2 and disable anydvd 4.0.4.1 , the movie play find without any problem,
if I use anydvd and clonedvd2 then no problem at all

I just want to understand the problem with dvdshrinkv3.2 and anydvd how come it not remove layerbreak correctly on dvd9-dvd5?

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

This is an ANYDVD question, be patient.
I have the NEC 3500AG and never used the drive to rip cause it was so slow. I patched the bios and now it's even slower. Well after screwing around I found that if I have ANYDVD running or have launched it and exited it the NEC performs poorly. If I reboot and do NOT start ANYDVD i get MUCH better performance(around 5x which still seems slow to me). With anydvd problem it seems like it locks the speed at 0.9X. My other DVD-ROM drive is not affected. Just trying to get faster rip speeds than 5x with my 16X drive!!!!

You can check the "Drive Speed Control" setting in AnyDVD. Maybe it doesn't work well with your drive, so you can switch it off (or set it faster).

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

Tried turning it on/off and adjusting that as well. It is so strange that my cheap DVDROM is not affected. This one's not gonna be easy. by the way I am using latest version. I actually installed a 2.1.1.1 version just for fun. No luck.

AnyDVD v4.1.0.1 and Pioneer DVR-108?

AnyDVD v4.1.0.1 doesn't seem to like the Pioneer DVR-108 with firmware v1.10 or 1.14. Neither Nero, CloneDVD2, nor Alcohol %120 are able to back up CSS'd DVD's with this drive. However, the same discs that fail with the DVR-108 are read fine with my NEC ND-3500AG and Toshiba SD-M1712. Ideas?

Re: Please post your AnyDVD Questions here

Hi guys/girls. I have a little question.
If AnyDVD makes the discs unprotected does that mean I can freely take screenshots of DVDs?
If not, why? And is there another way round this that's free? Apart from the free trial for CyberLink's PowerDVD...

Thank you ever so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

Re: AnyDVD v4.1.0.1 and Pioneer DVR-108?

So, it appears to be a conflict between the driver for my Promise 100TX2 (2.0.0.42), AnyDVD, and the Pioneer DVR-108. Once I put the DVR-108 on the motherboard's bus all was fine. Sooooo? Why does AnyDVD work fine with the Toshiba SD-M1712 on the Promise 100TX2, and not the DVR-108?

I assume it is a conflict between the Promise and the Pioneer DVR-108. That's why the Toshiba works.
