AnyDVD DeProtections?

Well, I didn't try this program yet, but it looks like it removes CSS and region code protections...
but does anyone know if it also removes macrvision protection?

the only time I think it says 'registered to nobody' is when you crack the software, mine has my name and serial number in the about box!

AnyDVD / DVD2one

Hi @ all,

I´ve got the "css protected" error in use with DVD2one, latest version 1.2.2

The author says:

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The facts:
1) the DVD2one website does not advertise anywhere that DVD2one works with AnyDVD.
2) DVD2one is not protected against use with AnyDVD.
3) The website of SlySoft (Elby on Antigua) advertises that AnyDVD works with any other program.

Conclusion: the problem is in AnyDVD.

Erwin
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My question: is AnyDVD protected against use with DVD2one?

The previous version 1.2.1 works fine with AnyDVD!
Also CloneDVD 1.1.7.1 no problems!

Use AnyDVD 1.3.2.4; XP pro, SP1

Please help me out, Thx.

Nah, wouldn't think so, but changing the I/O system in DVD2One seems to show a problem in AnyDVD which needs attention..

Just bad luck.

You can of course copy the files with Explorer to harddisk and then use DVD2One, this will work.

@ Olli

Sure, but better use CloneDVD, your soft works fine.

Thanks for your answer!

@MadBob
That might be so but that isn't the case here. Mine said so until I installed the newest version. Either that or it was the reboot that did it. Now it states teh name the prog was registered too. Maybe it needed the reboot after the code is entered.

drive selection for AnyDVD

In my configuration (two DVD-ROM drives, 1 external DVD-Writer & 1 external HDD), all drives seem to be controlled by AnyDVD.

This has two effects:

- The external HDD seems to be scanned which takes a long time (about 3 minutes)

- I can't write on the DVD-Writer

I guess a setting that allows me to say "use AnyDVD only on the DVD-ROM drive(s) x" would be helpful. Or are there any registry settings which accomplish this?

Thanks

Michael

External HD

I also have an external Firewire disc (160GB from maxtor) but it is not affected in any way by AnyDVD.

Paddy

Hmm,

mine is a 160GB HDD, too, but connected via USB 2.0 (as is the DVD-Writer).

I ripped some DVDs to the HDD (there was no AnyDVD before

, maybe AnyDVD recognizes the file structure???

Nope. AnyDVD doesn't touch harddisks at all.

AnyDVD 1.4.1.1 has been released, which adresses this problem.

Well, that's how it should be.

I have a laptop with
- an internal HDD
- an internal DVD-ROM/CD-RW
- an internal DVD-ROM
- an external DVD-Writer
- an external HDD

So, that's a total of 5 drives, 2 of them are harddisks.

And AnyDVD says it handles 4 of them ...

Any idea why?

I've now tested over 50 CSS enabled DVDs and I can replicate this problem if I want to.

The cause is, I believe, one of AnyDVD not getting access to the disc before CloneDVD or not getting access at all, somehow, to unlock the DVD. All of the following could be complete nonsense but it's worked for me at various times.

Close CloneDVD
Ensure that the Fox is coloured-up
Insert the DVD
Ensure that the Fox greys-out and then colours-up
Open CloneDVD

Still no good?

Close CloneDVD and other open programs.
Uninstall AnyDVD
Reinstall AnyDVD and reboot

Try playing the movie in a software player before opening CloneDVD - this worked in early versions of AnyDVD (disable AnyDVD for really difficult discs before opening the player); then re-enable AnyDVD and open CloneDVD.

Please let me know how this goes. Rest assured that there are difficult discs - I don't know why, but it's to do with mastering and .IFO restrictions and other stuff I know nothing about
