Have you tried looking for updated ata/ide drivers from your motherboard's website?

yes everything up to date- anydvd will not work unless i use an old burner(or dvd rom) to read in with- i can work around it because i have other drives - some people do not- but not trying to push other software in an anydvd forum- dvd fab platinum works fine with all drives involved- thanks for trying to help

Not to get off track, but where did you get 6.1.0.3? The Slysoft site shows 6.1.0.2.

I'd contact Slysoft support concering the specific burners you're having problems with.

Danidvd –

Welcome to the Forum.

Completely and totally disable AnyDVD. It is required to have AnyDVD totally disabled or the below procedure will not work correctly.

Install a Region 1 Commercial DVD Movie Title in your Philips DVD Burner and using a DVD Software Player program similar to PowerDVD or WinDVD and play the Region 1 Commercial DVD Movie. During this playing/viewing you will be prompted to set the Region Code. Play the Region 1 Commercial DVD Movie Title for a few minutes.

When finished re-enable AnyDVD and your Philips DVD Burner will have the Region Set and locked to Region 1.

Re: The Night Listener Region 1

BeLooken,
Thanks..I am not at all computer/program savvy.
When you said completely and totally disable..I assume that just means don't have it up running??? Or do you mean uninstall it? Again, clueless to computer/program jargon.
Everything seems to be chugging along so far so good, however, it does say the region is set to 0.
This is first time I have ever experienced any problem with a movie.
Thanks for your quick response.

Re: The Night Listener Region 1

Right click the fox icon and uncheck the Enable AnyDVD option. No need to uninstall it.
