New anyDVD user..It won't decrypt movies

Hey guys I'm new to this dvd decrypting scene and I heard anydvd was the best for this kind of job..that it could decrypt almost anything..so I got it but so far it hasn't worked on anything for me..
I tried Dave Chappelle Seasons and it didn't work, so I tried an older dvd that I think would have less protection.."Armagedon" and it didn't work.

....both times I got the same message.it said: "FileIO (3 VTS_04_4.VOB 340496384 479232)"

The part in the bracket varies but basically that's the message I get about half ways.
Anyone know what could be the problem. Possibly a problem in the settings of the program or I really don't know, anyone have had this problem before?
THnx in advance

Re: New anyDVD user..It won't decrypt movies

I'm having problem with the decrypting part..when I start the program so that it first strips the dvd of protection and then puts it on to the HD I get that message. Then it will be no problem for me..I have ImgBurn nero and cloneDVD2..I just can't get the program to back up the dvd onto the HD..

I am pretty knowledgeable and was trying to help but I see you want someone else to possibly assist you so give them time and they will. Sorry if you thought I sound stupid but I am far from that.

Re: New anyDVD user..It won't decrypt movies

I think the person is referring to the fact that your PC in general might not be functioning correctly.

When you have AnyDVD running (the little fox icon in the lower right corner of your screen), it will decrypt any DVD you have in any of your drives on the fly, in the background. You can then use Nero or Imgburn on the DVD, and your system will "see" it as an unencrypted DVD.

So you don't have to do anything to "decrypt" the DVD except run AnyDVD and insure that the little fox icon appears in the lower right corner of your screen (called the "system tray").

You seem to think that you have to do something else to "decrypt" the DVD after you start AnyDVD. You don't. I suspect that's what your problem is.

Hope that helps.

Re: New anyDVD user..It won't decrypt movies

FWIW I had no problem ripping Chapelle's season 2, two years ago. How many updates to AnyDVD has there been since then?

Any scratches or dirt on the disk?
