No, I have a 4163 and the lastest is A106 but as for the 2166d I really have no idea. Maybe you should post in the firmware forum, somebody there should know.

I read somewhere that the chipsets in LG burners doesn't support scanning, and from what I know about my 4163B, it's error correction is so good, I am not sure I would trust it to report errors. It can make the worst disks look good in a transfer test.

sorry alan, just sent you a pm about it. i posted in that forum and got no response. i guess i dont need to run that test , just wanted to know the quality score. thanks for everyones reponses.

if you want to know the quality score you need to scan it in a benq, plextor, nec, liteon, or pioneer drive that supports scanning.

your drives do not support scanning therefore you can't scan it.

i don't think ther eare NY LG drives that support scanning regardless of firmware...i think the actual chipset doesn't support it, not that a particular firmware version disables it...
