AnyDVD Discuss, mega problem after upgrade to n6.0.9.5 at Copy Movie forum; I upgraded b/c it was there and I am very busy. mega problem after upgrade to n6.0.9.5

I upgraded b/c it was there and I am very busy.
I went to do several backups and they all said 'encrypted:"
Then I went and uninstalled the any dvd proggy and reinstalled and the same version and still the same problem.
I have the key from when I first purchased the program and tried it and still no success????

Does any experienced member know what is going on, I have paid enough for any dvd as it is on my 6 kids other computers who are not in this country.

I really hope that someone can advise as to to what my problem is as soon as possible.

Cleary -

Do you have and software FireWall or Windows Registry monitoring software programs similar to ZoneAlarm installed on your computer?

If so have you configured these software programs to allow AnyDVD to function uninhibited? If you do not have these types of software programs configured correctly and properly will prevent AnyDVD from being installed correctly or prevent AnyDVD to function correctly.

Also when providing any Error Code or Error Notification narrative do not summarize or truncate the Error Code or Error Notification narrative. Prove the full complete Error Code or Error Notification narrative you are receiving.

Golly no, we don't share keys. I spent a lot of money on each of the kids notebooks 6 times the individual price for each of them and now I am not happy.'I used the prior version last nite and no problems. Then I d/l 6.0.9.5 and a migraine headache that the whole family has!!!!!!
Now I can't even get the FOX to be present on my task bar. It won't even open on the desktop???????????????????????
One big headache!!!

I have no changes in my security as was mentioned in a prior post and have had any dvd for over a year now and my kids longer than that.Now this!! Windows xp, sp2, toshiba, 2410 satellite notebook, pen 4, mobile processor, 512 RAM, 1.9 ghz and one third of the HDD used.

We are all experiencing mega problems and no changes to the notebooks.

I wished I never updated, Can I go back and the kids go back to the prior version???
I hate all the crap that this program keeps changing to every few weeks or days.
Decrypter was a better program.
Of course,unfortunately it is not available.
Now you suggest reading some Links, while I appreciate that I really would simply like the solution to make the program work.
It simply refuses to open.
The last version was fine. This one is horrible. Never problems like this!!! I hope that someone gives any dvd a run for the money, this is crazy.
I really would appreciate more comments and thankyou very much.
I should say that the backups that I am doing are not really all that new, they are for the grandkids for Christmas so they can watch something after we all play Rummoli together. Probably 3 years old , so no new sophisticated blocking on them.

I look forward to comments, or how I can go back to the prior version.
I did a search and all of any dvd is there, i uninstalled it and said to keep the key and registration and now this headache and the teens the same????

I suspect your key has escaped out onto the web and has made the rounds in the file sharing communities. When SS finds a key that is shared by many, it gets blacklisted. My best guess is that this is why all of you can't run AnyDVD anymore.

You have also posted your problem in this Forum thread and two other Forum threads besides this thread for a total of 3 active threads. To prevent confusion you need have only one active Forum thread. Make a decision as to which tread you desire to remain active and disregard the other threads. You should contact the Forum Moderator to cleanup the other threads or you are going to cause confusion among Forum Members.

Unfortunately in each of your 3 Forum posting threads you have not provided information in detail as what you problem is.

Your postings indicate you desire assistance from Forum Members. If you desire assistance from Forum Members you are going to have to explain in specific detail exactly what your problem actually is.

The following statement is not accusatory but an observation-> It appears you personally have a total of 7 different computers and 10 colleagues at work that have the very same problem. This is very unusual but typical of a Registration Key being shared and the Registration Key becoming BlackListed.

Have you contacted SlySoft Technical assistance (support(at)slysoft.com (replace (at) with @) for assistance with your problem?

start off with sending your reg info to slysoft and take it it from there
7 people with exactly the same proble on 7 diff PCs is sure unusual

Good catch WOW! Well the person may have bought it but 6 to 17 different ones I agree it can happen but extremly highly unlikely.

Yes my colleagues have the same problem as I do. We all did the d/l and reboot for the 6.0.9.5. We all have the same notebooks and same programs as they are used at work.
The kids are another matter.

We (my colleagues) all purchased this program at the same time as we purchased clone dvd and that was about last November 2005.

The problems:

1. the short cut on the desktop after the d/l and reboot did not work; the program won't work at all.

2. the fox icon is no longer in the tray

3. we have high speed hook up and use a router

4. we have done an uninstall and reinstall and reboot and there is no change

5. We all have the same notebook, Toshiba satellite 2410, 1.8 ghz, 512 RAM, pent 4, xp, sp2, mobile processor

6. Never have we had a problem with the any dvd downloads.
When the message comes up that there is a new version available, I have simply clicked on the OK to d/l and then do a reboot.

7. Then I went to use it and found that the program whether working from within "programs" nor the short cut on the desktop is not working.
Any DVD does not load as it did at start up after the new d/l of 6.0.9.5

8. I did a registry clean and tried a fresh d/l and no change.

9. I inserted my key which is saved to a floppy and get the message to start the program. So i go into Programs and click on Any DvD and nothing happens.

10. The version prior to this one gave me quirks for the first time after I did the d/l and that is when it kept telling me that I had no external drive. So I kept unplugging the external Benq 162I and then I tried the Sony 810 UL and still the same issue, advising me to reinstall , buy a burner etc.
Yet when I looked in My Computer the external drive was there.

11. now it seems that I can't find out anything on the Any Dvd, I did a search and see the entries from quite far back but nothing will open at all for me now.

12. the only firewall that I have is sp2 and the router and it has been here all along and no issues. I see some members get a message about a "trial period" or something like that. from the beginning I have never had that message.

i don't know what to do, and I appreciate the advice to keep my post in just one thread.

Honestly I think your best bet is to email slysoft directly for this and include your email reciept and if you don't have that then send your anydvd key with this email and supply them with all the info that you posted here and the other posts as you have cross posted on at least 2 threads that I know of and if it is a glitch on their part they'll gladly help you out and get you back up. As for your colleagues be it 6 or 17 or in between you can not vouch for them and they need to contact slysoft as well individually one person can not say all my friends and get help for all of them. This I'm afraid is your only true option. Keep us posted.

This your best bet, noone here on the forum has access to Slysoft support except maybe for the Tech people that read through the threads. If this is as rampant as you say I am sure it will be corrected.

Thankyou, you are all correct. I am simply doing this post for myself. I sent the details and my license number to slysoft support and hope to hear from them.
I detailed my circumstances and the others can look after themselves. i have actually been using the program since June 2005 and not one single d/l problem.

My colleagues have had the occasional glitch but were able to fix it.

I hope that i can get help from their support. When i put the key in it asks me to start the program and the program seems to be an empty Icon and there is none in my Task Bar so I know the program is not working.

Should any one have an idea I would appreciate it otherwise I will wait the 48 hrs that they say will be the time frame for a reply.

BTW, one member said my key must have got out???? I don't understand what that is all about as it is stored away??? I don't understand tech talk, so if i am missing something here I would appreciate it, thankyou.

Best Regards. BTW, is there an alternate that I can use while waiting for Sly's reply.
these are my kids old Christmas backups I am doing so no one gets their sticky hands on the originals at our house party for the kids. They are about 3 - 4 year old dvd's?????

When I intalled 6095 and rebooted I had to click on it to turn it on. Usually this is automatic and at first I thought anydvd wasn't working but when I looked at the fox it was not red and like I said I clicked on it and enabled and everything was fine. Just a little weird but works like always now.

I don't see what the big deal people are having when upgarding everytime AnyDVD has a new version. Simply install over the previous version and voila, you're done.

The only time you're going to run into a problem is when you got a KEY from a filesharing community or used a lame patch

Suddenly people are popping up with issues everytime there's an upgrade. Makes you wonder.

Since you explicitly asked for alternatives, I feel free to tell you that there are at least 2 free good progams out there that do what Anydvd does.

1. DvdFab Decrypter gotten here:
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm Use the Beta version

2. Ripit4me, gotten here:
http://www.ripit4me.org/download.html

Both are free.
You may find the Fab product easier to set up and use for interim purposes. Plus, there is a support forum for fab on CD Freaks.

Thats a great idea but it wouldn't help hobo10, I agree with you, but if people want to waste their time posting about problems that no-one on this forum can do something about, and that includes the Slysofts reps. They will just tell them the same thing, "send them all their information to Slysoft and they will look into it." I cannot tell people what to post if they are not breaking the rules of the forum, but I agree asking these questions here is senseless. It is a Slysoft support problem and the customer must work it out with them.
