Matshita DVD-RAM UJ 841s

I was unaware that AnyDVD would not work Matshita DVD-RAM UJ 841s and installed the program. When I became aware of this I uninstalled the software however I am now having trouble playing DVD on my Laptop (Sony VAIO VGN FE11s). I still have several region changes left for my DVD player however when I try to change it I receive the error message "unable to update region setting. Please make sure the driver contains a region 2 media and you have administrator privilege". I have tried a lot of things, even reverting my computer back to a form state but this was unsuccessful. What do I need to do to make my DVD drive work correctly again??? Any advice would be HUGELY welcome!! Thanks forum!!

AnyDVD does work with Matsushita drives, but you cannot bypass region coding.
Make sure to set the drive to your region.

This is the problem, since loading ANYDVD my laptop now refuses to change region.

Simply deaktivate AnyDVD in the system tray (right mouse click), then set the desired region.

that's not the problem either. I've completely uninstalled AnyDVD so it is no longer on my laptop. I think when loading the software it changed some of the settings on my dvd drive and now it doesn't play dvds and you can't change the region on the driver properties.

AnyDVD doesn't change any settings on your DVD drive. It's merely a driver which when enabled, does all those cool things. Have you tried remove your drive in the Device Manager and then restarting your computer?
