there was a link in one of the threads to retrieve lost keys (static.slysoft.com lost keys, well something like that)

does it work?, is it genuine?, as i've tried to do it and i've not recieved anything, not that i've lost my keys, just wanted to see if it works.
just hope that it's an automated service, and not getting one of the SS staff to manually send out keys

Was going to try it the other day when i saw that post (saved the link) but never used it as i have my keys in several places. Lets us know what gives.

will do. i've tried to update my email address with SS a few times, but i keep on getting the update emails to my original address, so nothing has changed there, so i've tried that link with both of my email addresses but still nothing and thats been 3-4 days now. nothing in the spam folders aswell

When you enter your email address, Slysoft will send you your orginal email invoice when you purchaced AnyDVD with the attached KEY. I just tried it and it works.

Yep i just tried it and it was in my Inbox in a flash! They send you the same e-mail as you get when you ordered. Whether the keys are the same don't know yet but i'm guessing yes.

I tried that link the other day and as Rolling56 says the email with the attached keys were in my inbox in no time at all (although it did state that it may take some time to come through)

i've just tried it and nothing, i think it there must be something screwed with my email addresses with SS, as i asked to change my emal address with them, i got a reply that they've done it, but i still get the updates to my old email address

My theory is any purchases made under the element5 system will not email keys using
https://secure.slysoft.com/lostkey.php

So far, my key purchases under the element5 system have not been mailed to me using that link.

So, I suspect people who made purchases in early 2005 or before, won't find that link very useful--and would have to email Slysoft for specific help in the event of a lost key.

webslinger, you may have hit the hail on the head, i bought all mine through element5 system (not sure about clonecd though) so this is probably the answer

I believe the statement on the SlySoft website is very clear:

I have lost my license key. What now?

In exceptional cases we can send it to you again. It's an enormous effort for us to make a new one, thus it is really an exception. Please use our contact form for key request.
Please make a safety backup of your license key file on a floppy disk or a CD and keep it in a safe place - we cannot replace your license key if you have lost it.

Now that everyone understand the protocol for lost key I think this thread has been a help to all concerned. Do as Tru has said. We can do no more. Thread Closed.
