The ILLUSIONIST (Impossible to back up)

Mr Bundle is right........
I tried to back up that movie.. "The Illusionist" for the last 3 days. I tried different softwares CLONER DVD4 etc . I got the same result " error copying to disk". I tried the new Beta edition AnyDVD 6.1.0.6 with no succes with another well-known softwares. I don't know what else to do now.
Maybe, those guys are better than SONY. They must be happy now, because no one so far can defeat their protection.
I am still waiting for ANYDVD to solve this problem.

Thanks

This is incorrect. I backed up The Illusionist R-1 on release day and it plays just fine on my standalone DVD players [Apex AD-1500 (region free, RCE-immune, Macrovision free), Apex AD-1500 (stock) & JVC XV-NP10] and on my computer [CyberLink PowerDVD 7 Deluxe & BlazeDVD 5 Pro].

What exactly did you do when you tried backing it up? What did you remove or did you do a full disc backup? Specifics would definitely help resolve the issue if one does exist that actually does relate to AnyDVD.

I used CloneDVD 2.9.0.3 & most likely AnyDVD 6.1.0.2. I cloned the full disc to my HD [compressing it to DVD5] using my PX-716A and then burned it to a Sony DVD+R [D21] disc using my PX-716A at 16x. Note: I always rip to my HD first to check quality and save myself from possibly wasting a DVD due to a bad rip.

If you really feel it's an issue with AnyDVD send the IFOs to Slysoft. Check out this link.

There is no problem to solve, you must have a bad source disc, almost all the users have backed up this title with success including myself.

Re: The ILLUSIONIST (Impossible to back up)

This is my third disk, I am using ANYDVD couple with Video Vault. I never had any problem before, when it gets to the burn option ... I get a 'error copying to disk' message. I was able to copy it with DVD CLONER4.... but i had to skip the menu.
Trust me ALAN1476, i know what i am talking about. I am not a novice.

Dear vaultnuc:
I fully respect your knowledge of these situations. But I am in region 1 and almost all the users of AnyDVD have backed this movie up sucessfully including myself. Sometime there are batches of bad source discs in areas of the world or country. I would try to use CloneDVD2 from Elby/Slysoft. they have a 21 day free trial. You can get it here, the version of Cloner you are using is an inferior product and is not supported on this forum

vaultnuc, Hunter1722, hk10036, brucelgriffith, and/or MrBungle -

Perchance have you read the other Forum Members posting comments in this thread concerning their ability to make a backup copy of The Illusionist without any problems?

Besides Forum Members CAPTAIN_JAMES, bobat, rolling56, alan1476, I and 4 other friends of mine had absolutely no difficulties using AnyDVD v6.1.0.2/ CloneDVD v2.9.0.3 to make a flawless backup copy of the Illusionist.

It is not usual for the manufacture to mass-produce numerous defective copies of Commercial DVD Movie Titles.

Instead of furthering a fruitless discussion of the AnyDVD Software Program to effectively process The Illusionist Commercial DVD Movie Title do you self a favor and send SlySoft the .IFO Files so that they can analyze these .IFO Files and if necessary release an improvement update release of AnyDVD. Below is a Forum Posting that details exactly how to correctly send the necessary .IFO Files for analysts ->

Regarding your Crank problem, there are two titles only 3 seconds apart.
Title 1 is the movie
Title 2 is the commentary.
Sounds like you ripped Title 2.

Regarding the Illusionist, I agree with other posters that this movie has no new protection.

Do not wait until it expires ( CloneDVD2) buy it a day or two before, the transition will be easier.

Re: The Illusionist

Hi friends, I am a beginner magician. I really like magic and card tricks but I’m not great at slide of hand, I’m ok, but if some one was really watching me intently, they'd notice...any sites would be wanted, or you could just thoroughly describe one to me, What are some sites that can teach card tricks to a beginner magician? Have you got such reference regarding my requirement? Have a nice day.
