Got this movie for the kids and want to make safe-copy before handling over the movie to the little ones.
Just tried to backup the Walt disney movie without any luck......tried first dvdshrink but it refused to read the disc.
Also tried anydvd/ clonedvd but got a message saying "cant make image" or something.......this happened when the process said 90%.
Any tips on this movie?Havent tried Madagacsar....same protection perhaps?

In Video_ts map everything looks ok except that main vob file 1 dosent show any video in VLC player,the other does.Also there are more files than normal in this map.....

You may need to update AnyDVD/ CloneDVD2, make sure you have the newest versions, AnyDVD 5.6.1.1 + CloneDVD2 2.8.5.1 should work for you, unless there's new protection on R2 for that movie, but doubtful.

I gave up this dvd.Tried latest version of a lots of software including anydvd/clonedvd and vobblanker.
The VIDEO_TS map looks right in every way except that there are no video in the first vob file,just black screen.Other vobs looks ok.

Please try DVDFab, maybe it works.

It should be ok if you used Any DVD 5.6.1.1 with DVD Decripter and Burn it with Nero.

Please specify the country of origin. R2 alone doesn't say much, there could be different versions in different countries. Please post the contents of the AnyDVD information window. Please send .ifo files of this disc to support(at)slysoft.com. This will help to produce a fix, if possible.

Although the first vob file dont show any video picture I tried to burn the image and it seems to work 100%........I was certain that it wouldnt work since vob1(nr1 out of 4) didnt show any picture on pc

How do you try to watch a DVD on your PC? You need to load the VIDEO_TS.IFO file or run the DVD Player software from the VIDEO_TS directory (PowerDVD), playing VOB files will not work as expected.

Its no problem playing vob files with VLC player,this software even plays a RAR file that is a video dvd image

sounds to me that you just did have a problem playing the vob files if your copy came out fine even though you couldn't view the vob!

I tried AnyDVD 5.6.1.1 and Decrypter and it copied fine (see PadreChema's post above). I was having problems myslef using a bunch of different programs. I was unaware you could use Any DVD in conjunction with Decrypter. There is a setting in Any DVD to Jump to Main movie. I set that and only the main movie copied which was what I wanted anyway.
