| HELP! Windows Media Player does not recognise AnyDVD When i try and run it, even after following the tutorial i get this message: Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. Is there a way to fix this or have i wasted $39 dollars! |

| Re: HELP! Windows Media Player does not recognise AnyDVD no, this message means that windows media player CANNOT play dvd-movies by itself! you have to install a commercial dvd-playback-software which brings the codec with it, example Cyberlink PowerDVD or something like that. After installation of this software, your media player can play dvd's - but then i'd prefer the "real" dvd-playback software you had to purchase... ![]() btw: even if you install winXP, while installation, one of the text-passages about "the new media player..." also tells, that you have to install a 3rd party software for media player to be able to playback dvd's... |
