Re: help with walk the line

When I try to to shrink walk the line from the files ripped by the anydvd ripper, I get the error: Failed to open VTS_06_0.VOB, overlapped i/o operation in progress, on the initial scan.

It does appear that I can can the dvd directly with shrink, open disc vs open files.

I have not completed the shrink direct from the dvd as of yet.

anydvd 5.9.4.1 registered

Re: help with walk the line

The AnyDVD ripper is intended for repairing poorly structured DVDs which DVD Shrink will choke on. To my knowledge after having used AnyDVD & DVD Decrypter yesterday to rip Walk the Line R1 NTSC, it went fine. The AnyDVD ripper (FixVTS) would be something you may want to use on say Disney's latest Lady & the Tramp DVD. No special settings needed, either copy the VIDEO_TS folder and Shrink or use Decrypter with AnyDVD with the recommended settings.

Re: help with walk the line

I used the anydvd ripper to rip to the drive, and got the error above.

I used shrink directly on the disk with anydvd decrypting, and when I played the disc, the first half of the movie had no audio, later the audio started working normally.

Re: help with walk the line

I had problems with Walk the Line region 1. Must be some defective discs out there. Got a cyclonic redundancy error in VTS_06_5.VOB. Ripping would always stop at 65% using both Shrink and CloneDVD. I finally was abe to rip with Decrypter set to ignore read errors. I then was able to use CloneCD and process and burn. Using AnyDVD 5.9.4.1. and Clone 2.8.9.2.

Re: help with walk the line

Bad write errors on the original or if it is dirty can do this. I had the same problem with Independece Day 2 disc colletion returned it for another and copied with no problems you might want to do the same return the movie for another copy.

Re: help with walk the line

I have had great time using anyDVD and CloneDVD2.Just keep up with the updates.Never had a miss.....Sometimes I use Shrink with Dvd decrypter..Some say CloneDVD2 makes a better copy than Shrink....I just can't tell, they are so clear.Iam real pleased...Worth the money.
