Help - How to start

I just downloaded AnyDVD, and I have no idea how to start. The information screen is showing the follwoing --

******
Summary for drive E:
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)

Video DVD (or CD) label: HITCH
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!

Found & removed RCE protection!
Found & removed wrong DVD structure!
Found & removed structural copy protection (Arccos, Puppetlock)!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 2 bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!
***

Does this mean it is copying onto my harddrive? Once it's complete, will it pop up a box asking what to save it as? I only have a DVD burner on my PC and a CD drive, not a DVd drive and seperate burner. Thanks for your help!

Go into settings in anydvd and make sure it is set to your region, press ok, and that's it, it just runs in the background.

Re: Help - How to start

Err, guys, please excuse me if I am wrong, but perhaps NS2248 is trying to use Any DVD on it's own without Clone DVD, or whatever. As Any DVD just runs in the background, it seems on the face of it to do nothing. When used with Clone DVD, it does an awful lot. You must use another backup proggie with it!

You may be right, he should read what it does on the slysoft site, which says you need other tool to copy movies.

Re: Help - How to start

Hello voxsmart & Bjproc,

If you would go to the link (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....threadid=72022) I provided to Forum member NS2248 you will see that it contains extremely detailed information on what AnyDVD is and actually does. It provides detailed information on how to properly configure AnyDVD for use. Forum member NS2248 will easily see that AnyDVD can be used in conjunction with any other DVD copying program besides CloneDVD.

This User Guide that I provided to Forum member NS2248 has much more information than what can been obtained by visiting the SlySoft link provided by Forum member Bjproc that SlySoft should be embarrassed that they can’t write a user guide that is as detailed and provides as much information as the user guide written by Forum Senior Admin G@M3FR3@K.

Best Regards,
bjkg

Re: Help - How to start

NS2248, Make sure that the DVD which you are ripping from are Clean.
Take some distilled water and clean it.
Wipe across the dvd with a cloth. Do not you use a cirular motion.
This will hopefully prevent crc errors.
A lot of these errors are from dirty dvds, not always the software.

Regards,

A True Canadian
