Even though dvd dycryptor hasn't been updated in a while, it still works great and I have found that sometimes alone, and sometimes in combination with anydvd, dvd decryptor can sometimes get past these newer problem movies just fine. Fyi image burn is written by the same person that wrote dvd decryptor and they are designed to work well together. imgburn doesn't have ripping capabilittes due to the macrovision thing though (which is why dvd decryptor is usefull). Another thing about those two programs (someone corect me if I am wrong here), they do not leave anything running in the background so there really isn't much risk of it conflicting and messing other programs up. They are only runnig when you run them and are using them.
so i went and got dvd decrypter and imgburn but imgburn isnt working. it wont let me do anything. granted, ive never used it before so maybe i'm doing it wrong, but i doubt it since i opened it and here's the log:

Re: help with The Fog??

There is a newer version of AnyDVD out now. V5.9.5.3. If you bought it I would go ahead and update. You didn't state if yours was a trial version or not. Not that it would make a difference but I noticed you have Win. XP Pro Ser. Pack1. I would suggest updating to the latest service pack. I use 2000 pro but I'm sure there is at least a sp2 for xp. I think you mentioned something about low disc space. If you navigate to MY Computer, right click on your c:drive, select properties, how much free space do you have? I'm just trying to get a clearer picture.

Re: help with The Fog??

okay everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to respond to ya'll. i've been out of town. i had to go see my favorite rollerderby team whoop butt in austin. just to update, i got the movie copied. i ended up using dvd decrypter in combination with dvd shrink and it was miraculous. i swear there were golden beams coming out of the sky and angels sung. it was awesome, however not as awesome as the derby. heh. anyway, thanks for all the advice and trying to help and all that jazz. i'm sure i'll need help later and i know i can count on ya'll. thanks again!
