Used AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 and Nero Recode 2, did a full disc back up of the Region 1 widescreen version. Plays fine, no problems.

Re: Has anyone gotten Polar Express to copy?

Tried Nero recode and it says...."Nero Recode 2 encountered a problem and cannot continue. Failed to read from file. Copy protection error. The read failed because the sector is encrypted."

Re: Has anyone gotten Polar Express to copy?

Used good old DVD Decryptor, transcoded with DVD Shrink burned with CopytoDVD -- worked like a charm.

Re: Has anyone gotten Polar Express to copy?

I finally got it to work using Roxio Easy Cd Creator 7. Select "Copy DVD" on your upper right of the window. "The selected source is too big to fit on a standard DVD-recordable disc. Would you like to compress the video, and remove all other content?" Select "YES". Make sure your "Source" is set to your DVD Drive, and your "Destination" is either to your DVD Drive or if you just want to copy the files to your hard drive; select " DVD-Video folder", the hit "copy on the upper right of the window. Select your target folder and "ok". Tried it on both the computer and regular DVD player, works great!

I backed it up fine with Anydvd 5.5.5.1 and CloneDvd2. I did the main movie only. Plays perfectly.

AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 + CloneDVD2 = No Problems

AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 + 1ClickDVDCopy (Include Extras & Menus) = No Problems

1Click Pro with same settings also works...

Re: Has anyone gotten Polar Express to copy?

I had the same problems with anyDVD and DVD decrypter. I had to restart DVD decrypter multiple times because it kept getting into an error popup loop. Any way, I changed the CSS settings for DVD decrypter and finally got it to work.

I increased the CSS detection search size, increased the DeCSSPlus Key Occurences, and decreased the DeCSSPlus Pattern Repeat Length.

I don't know which of these did the trick, or if it was all of them, but it worked.

Re: Has anyone gotten Polar Express to copy?

For running AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter see the posts by Olli in this thread (starting with post #5);

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=139161

If you follow these instuctions the CSS settings in DVD Decrypter should not matter. AnyDVD will make the disk look non CSS protected.

regards

When AnyDVD is running correctly, DVDDecrypter should see the disc as non CSS protected. Make sure NOT TO USE ASPI in DVDDecrypter I/O settings. Use ElbyCDIO or SPTI. ASPI sucks.
