Format Compatibility

I got a friend to burn me some file on a DVD-R, which i have used before. When i tried to use my DVD ROM to read the file i got a message "Windows cannot read from this disk. The disc may be currupted, or could be using a format which is not compatible woth Windows."

I'm pretty sure the disc is not currupt so is there any way I can fix this ?

THX in advance

Re: Format Compatibility

The session probably hasn't been finalized. try it in your writer and try reading it with a tool like ISOBuster.
