Re: The Forgotten, Having problem's

I know you probably know about this, but is always better to make sure:

do you have the option "copy protection based on unreadable sectors" turned on while you tried to back this dvd up?

if it is on, have you tried backing it up with that option turned off?

How did you get a copy of Forgotten as it is not to be released until Tuesday 1-11-2004. Do you work at a video store? It 's people like you that cause all the world's problems

"people like you cause ALL THE WORLD'S PROBLEMS"?????

Dear sabine:

You obviously have your priorities all wrong. I advise you to immediately increase your prozac medication, until you realize that there are far, far worse problems in this world than being able to legally purchase a dvd from a store that will sell it to you before its designated release date. Maybe you should stop posting in banal threads such as this one and go out there to try and solve this particular crime of the millennium, since you are so offended by it?

Anyway, thanks for the laughter you provoked (I sincerely hope you were kidding!)

Maybe you should realize that all us "legitimate" backup copiers of discs should realize that if we were all legit maybe the world wouldn't be after the rest of us

Dear sabine:

You completely lost me with that one. I wish you all the best in your crusade. Peace.

I am legitmate, I paid my US american money for this original DVD that I now own. You are asking how I got a DVD 3 days before you got it? or should I be asking you, how did you get your DVD so soon, it's not to be released until 1-18-2005... and you are talking about the 11th. It's people like you that cause all the world's problems, 'You don't have your information correct'

This guy has his days and years mixed all up. it's "2005" my friend

@ sabine

I also have a DVD copy of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of Sith, with all the deleted stuff and extra's, would you like a copy? I mean since im not a legitmate DVD holder, I'll sell it to you for a special price.....

Re: The Forgotten, Having problem's

This is pretty much for refenece since I only rented the movie, and I don't own a copy.
I use anydvd just watch movies more conveniently. I have a MyHD HD tuner card that lets me sort of 'upscale' unlocked movies to my HD tv/monitor on my entertainment computer. Works pretty good except for the Forgotton.
I decided to test the 4.5.5.1 upgrade by doing a before and after viewing.
Didn't get too far on the before. I saw the previews and main menu, about 4-5 mins into main feature I got a lot of breakups (similar to bad HD reception).
Installed upgrade.
When I tried to go to the portion of the movie that I left off at, I found the the various time advance features of the remote were not working, both ff and chapt advance. The movie menu item that lets you jump to chapters did not work either. In all cases I got very unpredictable time jumps forward and back (like Dr Who episodes).
Anyway, only solution was to let movie play again and just start watching where I left off. Didn't even try to attempt watching 2nd version or other extras. (wondering if having 2nd main feature and deeply embedded menu might be cause of some difficulties. I never seen a menu structure like this before.)
This is not a complaint, this product is perfect for my use and I am extremely pleased with the day to day results and freedom to use the dvd's in a manner very convenient to me.

Re: The Forgotten, Having problem's

The latest DVD Decrypter will do the job just fine. Just rip in file mode and then use the shrinking/re-encoding program of your choice to finish the job. Although, I did have problems with Clone DVD on this one. It wouldn't read the decrypted project but DVD Shrink would. Kinda weird.

Re: The Forgotten, Having problem's

Hi everyone,

Here you go....

CloneDVD 2 v2751 works fine.

First off, you have to use AnyDVD v4562 not v4572.

v4572 would not work for me with a multitude of different selections.

with v4562 select all Feature Removal under the DVD tab, then go to the Program tab and select safe mode.

start CloneDVD v2571 and backup your DVD..

Hope this helps out.
