AnyDVD Discuss, The Fog at Copy Movie forum; The problem Im having is when I try to copy The Fog with CloneDVD2 after using FabDecrypter, all the extra features and previews are there, but the actual main movie file isn't, although the main VOB file is in the VIDEO_TS folder, CloneDVD is'nt reading it.

you've posted this in the anydvd forum, so our obvious response would be to try it with anydvd and clonedvd

Re: The Fog

I've used DVD Decryptor, then i run it thru VOB Blanker (that takes care of any errors that would crap out DVD Shrink) and then thru DVD Shrink, to date there has not been a thing i have not been able to backup, and i just made a copy of "The Fog".

Also, I would have to say that this is something new.
The VOB #4 is the one I have a problem copying..

Re: The Fog

I recently had trouble backing up this DVD as well, however i used the latest version of AnyDVD and DVDDecrypter and it backed up perfectly. I then ran it through DVDShrink to shrink it to fit on a DVD5 and it works great. Give it a try

Ive tried with 5.8.3.1 which was the very latest at the time and it didnt work.. I ordered another DVD, so hopefully it was just an issue with that DVD because for whatever reason and whatever method of decoding, I was unable to read the DVD with both my burners.. Mind you that the DVD was brand new, with no visible damage or scratches..

Re: The Fog

I too just purchased a copy of The Fog for my son. I can back it up using AnyDVD and Shrink with IMGburn. My problem is it takes about 4 minutes for my dvd player to start reading it. The same thing has happened with the cave. I have the latest ANYdvd update. Ive tried whole disc and main movie title only with same results. Any Ideas anyone. Thank you,
Greg

Sounds like a media problem.. Care to scan the DVD with Nero CD/DVDSpeed so we can see if thats your problem?

I was able to get The FOG backup after I went out and got another DVD.. The one I had might have been faulty..

Re: The Fog

Do a Disc Quality Scan using 8x as the scan speed.. Check off all the boxes EXCEPT Quick Scan.. After the scan, save the image of the graph by clicking the save image box on the upper right hand side of the window.. Upload it the same way you loaded the above image..

Re: The Fog

"show c2" is grayed out. i'm pretty sure tha means that the drive is not reporting PIFs.

what version of cdspeed are you using?
