Dr. Who you are right. phillips is cheap. Almost the reason I bought it. Like I said if one of my copied movies will play on it, they play on all. A good test for me in my world. And when me and my family drop in a movie after supper on my sony hooked up to my 52" Hi Def, well there is no explaining it. I am there. Thats why I do main movie only so I can keep my compression in check, most are in upper 80s to low 90s and i don't see any hick-ups. Happy Burning and great viewing to all.

Sounds like the protected or unreferenced cells in the beginning are not completely removed or time maps is not updated correctly to bypass the unreferenced cells. Nothing to do with media nor burning quality. Playback on software players is more forgiving than standalones. It's just strange that it works for others with same DVD, but not for you. Check the IFO structure and you will know right away.
toaddub, Still a newbie on that. How do I check. Sorry about all these post at once but we went through some major storms last night in Tn, so I just shut everything down. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions in advance. These forums are a great source of knowledge. I try to help out also, when I can.

Re: The Fog

Hard to tell you. If you don't mind, would you post the original IFOs and AnyDVD processed IFOs here. To get original IFOs, you must first disable AnyDVD. I'll take a look. For AnyDVD processed IFOs, make sure you check the option to "remove unreferenced and blank cells" along with whatever options you like. Zip these 2 sets of files up. If this forum attachment will not let you attach the files due to file size limit, then upload to some web file-host server and provide a link here. One of them is savefile.com.

Are you doing movie only or the whole DVD? Using CloneDVD2? Do you usually process straight from the DVD or copy DVD first to HD?
