Re: Final Destination 3

Yes as this movie has 2 discs so I'm wanting to know will decrypter do this and the game still playable on the copy. Both will be on a D/L disc.

Or would clonecd be better on this title. with no hicups or pauses where the break is?

Re: Final Destination 3

I know Ccd worked perfectly for disk one on to a DL disk
(hope you got verbs, all other DL are crap)

I would think that Clonecd would work on disk2 as well

make sure to have AD running during the rip

Why don't you make a CloneDVD copy to harddisk and try it out with whatever player software you like?
If you want to go the 1:1 image route, make a CloneCD image, mount it in Virtual CloneDrive and try it.
If you are satisfied, burn it.

Re: Final Destination 3

It worked. I found out the original problem with both programs, I had DVD Region+CSS Free running and even though I disabled it it started back up automatically but clonecd read and wrote it perfectly. Not even a pause what so ever where the layer break was. Slysoft does it again.

Backed it up but not burnt it yet. Will return later today with those results for everybody too. As the first was alright I can bet my life that disc 2 will too.

Try the image with Virtual CloneDrive and your PC player software.

OT:
Or even better - get a "Home Theatre" PC for your TV and sell you DVD player on ebay. A PC is probably the best progressive DVD player you can get.
AnyDVD is getting more and more "Home Theatre friendly" like removing UOPs and making subtitles transparent. I really don't want to use a normal DVD player anymore.
I only miss one feature - repositioning of the subtitles. James, please!

This is excellent advice. I've got some region 2 discs coming from the UK soon and the only way I can play them is with the assistance of AnyDVD on my media PC's. Sure, I could rip them, convert from PAL to NTSC, and burn them, but, why? Stick them in the media PC and I'm done. Truly awesome.

Re: Final Destination 3

Why would you have to convert them from PAL to NTSC? Most DVD players support NTSC and PAL. I have only run into a few players that refused to play a PAL dvd. It's also not to difficult to find a region free hack for various DVD players. However, if you are backing up your DVDs, then you would presumably be playing the backups so you can keep your originals pristine. In that case, the DVD should be region free.

Mine does not do PAL and while I was considering getting a new DVD player for a while, I've decided that for now my media pc's are just fine. I have one for my bedroom and one for my living room. Both are capable of recording HDTV as well as SDTV. So, if I were to use my DVD player I'd have to convert them from PAL to NTSC as it absolutely REFUSES to play anything PAL. Even the modified header trick doesn't work. Stupid piece of crap Sony...
