Yes this would be a great message if you try to patch it but be more tastful and say "illegal operation any dvd has been modified and must close"

Olli had something similar to this in at least one of the early CloneCD versions. It was a popup which said something like "Click OK to format drive C:\" when finding one was using a or ( ) and there was only OK to click. Quite funny, if I remember correctly this had no impact on your computer, it was just a funny kick in the butt. I wonder how many people poo'ed their pants when that happened...

Re: File corrupted

this is a little off topic, but lighting UK is the best for in-program dialog boxes.

if you've ever tried to load a ISO where you should be loading a .MDS file in imgburn or dvd decrypter, it's rather amusing.

i had one come up in Imgburn today where it said "despite trying as hard as i can, i can't find the folder for XXXX. would you like to locate it manually?" or something like that.

stuff like that cracks me up...

Re: File corrupted

No, it was a simple system message so you had to think it came from your operating system. But I guess it was removed in case of a false positive or to avoid a possibly bad reputation for Elby.

Honey, as this message could be caused by any kind of modification of the executable - it could indeed be a virus infection! - I will give the user the benefit of the doubt and not tell him to rott in hell in a message box.
On the other hand - I wonder how incredibly stupid these morons are, that they don't even see the relationship between a "file corrupted" message and the crack they applied 20 minutes ago. This makes me sad, and I almost loose my hope for humanity to survive the next 100 years. Mankind will die in front of a TV set.

Why wait? The season 27 box set ("The Complete First Season" [sic]) is already out in Canada (as of 14-Feb-06). I ordered it from amazon.ca on 2/16 (my GF went into the hospital on 2/14 and had surgery on 2/15, so I was kind of distracted when it released) and received it on 2/20 (fastest shipping method but it was only like US $ 6 more and with the exchange rate the total was still under US $ 100). Then again, I had most of the episodes from BT within 6-7 hours after they aired on BBC, one or two I didn't get around to grabbing until a few days after they aired. Got that, BBC? Bit Torrent copies actually convinced me to BUY the box set, and even go a little out of my way to get it sooner since you pushed off the US release date when you got the SciFi deal.

(That being said, I'll still record the SciFi broadcasts to DVD to complete the collection).

The point? Real Whovians outside of the BBC can't wait for a local broadcast or DVD release!
