File corrupted

Hello,

A get this error when I TRY to legally copy a DVD.

(With CloneDVD and AnyDVD together, ofcourse). But I always get this message! I runned a virus-check, a re-installed both of the programms, but that 'warning' still is there. Also, my serial numbers are legal, I bought Anydvd & CloneDVD.

Can someone help me, to remove this warning?

Thanks!!!

Re: File corrupted

what versions of the software are you running.

at what point do you get this error message

is the error message from anydvd or clonedvd?

is this a new and recent development or are you a first time user of the software?

is that the full error message? "file corrupted" or is there more to it. please provide full error message text.

Re: File corrupted

I'm running anydvd 5.9.0.0, and clonedvd 2.8.2.2, and the error message is from anydvd.

I'm using this software for more than a year, now.

There is more: "please run a virus-check", than re-install anydvd.

Re: File corrupted

Hi there

I installed the trial version of AnyDVD 5.9.3.1 and I hadn't even loaded a DVD. I was working away on my desktop and a gui popped up saying "File corrupted, run a virus check" etc etc and AnyDVD closed down from the system tray. Clicking the icon on the desktop restored it and after a while (not sure exactly how long) it did it again.
I un-installed it and did a search for an earlier version installed5.8.4.1 and I've had no problem since. Might be bug?
Cheers

Possibly a computer software conflict. No bug or problem for the majority of us....

Are you using a crack? This would explain why AnyDVD detects a file corruption.

Reinstall AnyDVD and do not use the "SlySoft Generic Crack".

Re: File corrupted

Hello Folks,

AnyDVD generates the warning “File corrupted! Please run a virus check then reinstall AnyDVD” when after running for 30 minutes a time-bomb internal safeguard check detects a blacklisted registration key or a “cracked patch”.

The remedy is to stop using pirated illegal software and purchases a valid registration key from SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com).

Knowledgeable Forum Members are fully aware what is happing when someone reports that they are receiving the “File corrupted! Please run a virus check then reinstall AnyDVD” warning. They are not going to provide any assistance to someone who is using pirated illegal software - so stop attempting to pull the wool over their eyes.

Best Regards,
bjkg

Re: File corrupted

yeah...i think the major tip off that it's a pirating issue is that no one who has this problem is using the most current version (as a crack has not yet been developed for the most current version) and jumping back a few versions (to the version that the crack was designed for) actually works...

if we're jumping to conclusions then i apologize and the issue needs to be brought to the attention to slysoft along with proof of purchase of a legitimate key.

until slysoft issues a statement on the matter (saying that this could be a bug and isn't due to people using cracks) then I'll continue to err on the side of caution and assume that cracks are being used and we shouldn't be giving advice.

so to those in the thread having this problem, your best bet is going to be to take it up with slysoft, not only because we do not believe you, but because if this is a legitimate issue, none of us have run into it before and are unable to help you anyway.

if any of you do get a response from slysoft on the issue please post it here and I will be the first person to apologize.

Re: File corrupted

I cheated before and got the message that the others have been getting and I purchased a key when version 5.9.2.1 and decided to buy a key and never had such an issue at all now.

Re: File corrupted

The funny thing is that beside the old series I really don't know Dr. Who, I just thought I would be mysterious for once. Is that the same as you're talking about? It was some sci-fi too but never watched it.

No need whatsoever to apologize, reasonsnotrules. The true "inside" information about this warning is that it appears only with a cracked AnyDVD

Re: File corrupted

I am here!

The "File corrupted - please reinstall AnyDVD & run a virus check" message is only displayed, if the AnyDVD executable has been modified. It is a simple integrity check. Reinstalling AnyDVD will always repair the problem. This message will not be displayed for any other reason (wrong registration key, etc.)
The question is - why was the AnyDVD executable changed. One reason could be a virus infection (hence the message "run a virus check"). Another could be a hardware problem (but I doubt that the computer would run stable long enough to even boot Windows).
If you modify AnyDVD intentionally - either by using a hex editor, or by using one of the various "cracks" - you will see this message sooner or later.
If you see this message, I would say in 99.99% of the cases you have used a patch to bypass the registration check. And if you posted this in a public message board you have exposed yourself pretty well.

you can find lots of sales of anydvd/conecd/dvd on ebay. more than likely there are a number of these purchasers now finding problems as well once they update the software.

as has always been said on this and my regular haunt 'you get what you pay for'

stop being so fecking tight and pay for the programs, they are well worth the few paltry bucks that they cost.
