I am about to purchase a Panasonic DVD recorder with a hard disc.
I am told that if I wish to play a DVD RW on another machine I must finalise it and, by finilising a DVD RW it cannot be reused again . is this true

Are you aware that you are posting in the AnyDVD Forum? Your question has nothing to do with the AnyDVD Software Program.

I would suggest that you take some time and look around the CD Freaks Forum and acquaint yourself with all the various different Forums and Sub-Forums available to Forum Members use.

Your question would be more appropriate if asked in the CD Freaks “General Software” Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3).

DVD RW Media could prove to be problematic if used in some Stand Alone Desk Top Playback devices. For error free playback problems the more appropriate DVD Media would be either DVD – (Minus) or DVD + (Plus) Media. Finalizing DVD RW Media does not render the RW Media unusable for additional reuse.

But to answer your question yes you can reuse it again. It must finalize the disc so it is playable anywhere.
