Re: DVD Decrypter settings /w AnyDVD

Maineman: Do you think it is best to rip with DVD Decrypter then burn with IMGBurn, or simply to use IMGBurn and AnyDVD in read mode?

Also do yo uleave your read speed at MAX or set it at a pre-determined read speed?

You're way ahead of me here BoSox. I've never used the read function in Img.
I know nothing about it, but ya gotta love LUK!
Like I said, I did a lot of DL rips and burns with dvdd, AnyDVD and Img 1-2 years ago. For me, personally, it was the best option for DL burns.

I guess I'd be tempted to leave read speed on max?
I'll try a few and see.

Howzabout you? How are you ripping and what do you see for advantages/disadvantages so far?

Re: DVD Decrypter settings /w AnyDVD

If you have AnyDVD u can use IMGBurn in read mode to make a direct 1:1 ISO from the original. Then just use IMGBurn to burn the ISO. I actually havent tried it yet as I havent picked up more DL media yet, but I think it is gonna be an awesome way to backup DLs.

IMGburn in read mode reads each sector and probably would give the best 1:1 backup possible.

I use ImgBurn with AnyDVD and DVDFab Plat for my DL needs. A lot depends on your burner.

Edit:
Sometimes i use CloneCD for a DL backup.

Whats your method with AnyDVD and IMGBurn?

Also do you think DVDFab does as good of a job as IMGBurn?

He probably does it like me. Put the DVD in the drive with AnyDVD running, load up ImgBurn, set it to read mode and create the image. Pop a DL disc in the burner, set ImgBurn to write mode, select the MDS file, and burn away. Works great.

You don't mind no "seamless" playback?

Do you think this is the best way to burn DL's?

Re: DVD Decrypter settings /w AnyDVD

It's as good as the original. LB is exactly the same. Seamless is fine but not really necessary IMO. I've never had a problem with this method at all.

For me it's how i feel at the time so seamless is not necessary. I like to see how the LB does on my burns sometimes.

When you do want seamless what do you do? Just rip and then build?
