Re: doom unrated

you're really going to need to post a LOT more information than that.

Re: doom unrated

here's a good palce to start:

what region is the disc?
what version of anydvd are you using?
What model is your drive?
What firmware is installed on it?
are you having problems ripping or burning?
if ripping, have you tried another drive?
have you tried slowing down the read speed using anydvd's drive speed control?
are you getting any error messages?
if the problem is burning what brand, type, and speed is the media you're using?
What's the media ID (media ID can be found in the disc info tab of nero cd-dvd speed)?
do the files you've ripped play correctly from the hard drive?
what speed are you burning at?
have you tried another disc since trying doom?
Does that one work correctly?
what are your system specs?

there's no way we'll be able to help if all we get is "this disc didn't work"

@ reasonsnotrules,

Forum Member 1santana wants other knowledgeable Forum Members to come running to fix his problem but fails to take the effort to provide meaningful information even when informed of the pertinent information required.

Why are you wasting your time and effort to assist Forum Member 1santana if he is too lazy to provide the information you suggested in your #3 posting?

Best Regards,
bjkg

Re: doom unrated

I think it's the same posting "style" as that guy about a month ago ... remember reasonsnotrules? AZ (the mod) came in and closed the thread based on it going nowhere. Don't remember his handle but maybe he's back with a different handle. I think "the game" is to give as little or as close to no info as possible and see how long he can keep the thread going with our negative reactions. He is either grounded by his parents, has no life or he may be playing the game with or just showing off to an equally warped friend. Sad really ... wish there were laws that would allow removing such from the genepool.

So watch it turn out that this poster just doesn't speak english well or doesn't understand all this computer stuff (and can't answer reasonsnotrules questions) ... and I have to eat my words! Sorry if that be so. But the words still apply to the other guy.

Re: doom unrated

Well, the only thing would be to use the latest anydvd and clonedvd version, cause as i know the movie shouldn't be a problem for backup. But do yourself a favor and give more infos.

Re: doom unrated

I don't know anything about the orginal poster, but I can not make a back up of this movie either. I am using 1 click dvd copy version 4.1 and DVD43 ver 3.7.0.113

I've tried 3 times and always get the same error when it is trying to WRITE the DVD. It runs for quite awhile then gets a "Write failed" and "WriteSector failed at sector 1977088(16) - Code 03 80 04[medium Error]". The Image on my harddrive appears OK, becase my computer can play the movie.

I believe many will suggest ditching DVD43 and using AnyDVD as the tool for removing copy protection from DVD movies. That would be my suggestion. There is a 21-day trial that can be downloaded and right now is a great time to buy the software as there are discount coupons for cdfreak members.

Re: doom unrated

I tired again with diffreint software - this time i tried AnyDYD 5.9.4.1 and Clone DVD2 2.8.9.2 - It took about 2.5 hours to copy the DVD - and when complete it mostly worked except for tracks 11 and 12 ( out of 21 but track 21/21 is empty ) which just lock up on a still frame for 2 or 3 minutes...very annoying.

They release these darn things on CD/DVDs which have a life span of about 10 years if you don't wathc them to often, and keep piling copy protection on them.
