Does AnyDVD remove CPRM Copy protection?. I emailed slysoft yesterday with an IFO containing this strange type of copy protection. But i got no reply back so i hoped the forum would have better joy. But i taped a TV episode on my Standalone DVD recorder onto a DVD-RW disk. But for the annoyance it has recorded it as a VRO (Ram) format. So i was wanting to convert it. However the Standalone has also added this strange CPRM protection to my own backup without me even knowing it. I dont know why it did it. And it seems a bit of a violation to my own private use of my TV DVD recorder. But also AnyDVD doesnt seem to remove it either. I have tried it on 5.9.2.1 and the latest 5.9.4.1 but no joy What gives with this peculair secret (as ive never heard of it) copy protection. Thanks Anthony

Re: Does AnyDVD remove CPRM Copy protection?. The are 3 types of copy protection signals - Copy Free, which has no restrictions. Copy-Once, which on a stand alone will record to HDD or -RW(VR) (also if you dub it from your hard drive to disc, it will erase from the hard drive) and finally copy-never, won't record at all!! If you are from the UK, I think Sky put some of these restrictions on the pay per view movies. You could try TMPGEnc to see if that will capture the VR video and turn it back into normal DVD-Video. Your CPRM protected disc will only play on CPRM compatible equipment. What is the make and model of your recorder and what was the source recorded from?

Re: Does AnyDVD remove CPRM Copy protection?. does you disk play on pc ie using power dvd or other player? I think if it does not play on pc then, then it cannot be "seen" by the usual software and is an off standard
