AnyDVD Discuss, Does Anydvd have logs? at Copy Movie forum; Does Anydvd have logs, (something similar to log on dvd decrypter)? If so: 1. Where are these logs stored and/or how can you access the file? 2. Can these logs be used to help pinpoint the problem a poster may be having. Thanks.

Re: Does Anydvd have logs?

It does have a log function, primarily to send to Slysoft. Under "Settings" enable log function and it will "drop a log" (sounds rather disgustion) in your Documents file.

Re: Does Anydvd have logs?

Thanks,
So why do people have to send IFO's to Slysoft, rather that the log.
Would not the log be more useful??
I am hoping James at Slysoft will also respond to this question.

Another question, can you view the log during the rip?

Re: Does Anydvd have logs?

Dr Who,
Could you kindly clarify the first part of your response.

As to viewing, how do you do that?
Thanks

By the time AnyDVD has seen your dvd & logged anything the .IFO's have been modified.

This is why when sending the .IFO files to Slysoft you must turn AnyDVD OFF before copying the IFO's to a zip file.

Re: Does Anydvd have logs?

A log would only show the results of the actions:

"Drove car down road in straight line, tried to turn but could not, hit tree"

The result is hitting a tree but we do not know why, only the result. By reviewing the IFOs they can see how they are made and if there is anything amiss:

"Here is new car, it has no steering wheel, cannot turn, do not hit tree!"
