Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

Yea, it's been reported on Slysoft forum, as well. Very odd. This is why it was supposed to be a closed beta...it still needs a bit of work I think. But, honestly, for something that's a first release of a near rewrite to AnyDVD, this thing is damn impressive!

Quite the opposite. James and crew are making it even easier to use. Once the AI Scanner functionality is worked out and the bugs all fixed, it's a matter of stick the disc in, load your favorite compression program, and don't even think about the protection. So, no, I think it's becoming easier.

Yes DNC was coded to allow the use of anydvd therefore I was thinking maybe DNC already has been doing this sort of all along? If so DNC just needs a little tweak that's all.

Hi SamuriHL, I had no problems with HOC and the new Recode in Nero 8. Now I have to watch the whole crappy movie again to see if it came out correctly.

ROFLMAO! I didn't think it was that bad. I was glad I bought it. In any case, I'm glad it worked for you with Recode. I don't know what's up with Nero 7's Recode and this movie. Ah well, only a few more days and I won't care.

No, definitely not. I completely believed that it would take "a year or more" to crack this one. ROFLMAO! I'm so gullible like that.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

You probably should wait for an official public beta or release as this has lots of bugs right now. Nonetheless, you go to Video DVD, settings, and at the bottom is a drop down for AI Scanner which defaults to normal.

Zaq, SamuriHL is correct this beta is a use at your own risk as it was never really meant for a public release. All I can say is follow what SamuriHL said and change from normal (default) to OFF.

Well I am not Doc or SamuriHL but I would roll back to the 6.1.7.4 and wait for the offical release, the way it was intended. If you want to turn it off, rolling back to the last version will do the trick.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

I have to agree with Alan on this. 6.1.7.5 is simply not ready for public consumption. While it's fun to play with new versions, this one was not ready to be unleashed yet. There's a lot of bugs we're finding that need to be addressed. Trust me when I say this is not finished and that what you've seen here is only the tip of the iceberg. I would advise anyone using this beta to tread lightly because you simply aren't going to get any support for it. If DVD X doesn't back up properly and you post about it, it will likely be ignored. The reason I'm pointing this out is because there ARE known problems with this version and you WILL likely encounter them if you try to use it for any length of time. I'm encountering them as we speak on the testing I'm doing for it....

The beta is severely broken which is why it was intended as a private beta. Hopefully we'll get something new to play with at some point. We just have to wait til it's ready.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

There are actually more problems with 6.1.7.5 than 6.1.7.4 this needs to be said as it has already plenty of times.

Trust me.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

I had AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA loaded and just tried it with 1Click DVD Pro 3.1.8.0 and no matter what movie i put in the recorder 1Click error box popped up that this DVD is copy protected. I went back to 6.1.7.4 and all was good and yes i had CPRx off in 1Click DVD Pro. Thats why i guess it's beta.

Broken?. That is'nt even the word to use. You can't even use beta and better yet alpha is'nt even good.
