DVD neXt COPY and anydvd beta - good on the title next

DVD neXt COPY 2.3.3.1 even after the update to do Deja Vu failed but with the AI Scanner - perfect backup. Yes DNC used was an outdated version and this was the reason as I knew it couldn't handle most of the latest releases the past few weeks so this is why I tried a way outdated version of DVD neXt COPY.

Awesome. Those are good results. I'd be curious if DNC can handle Blade HoC with the AnyDVD beta.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

I'll grab the title tomorrow as I don't have one on hand so stay tuned. We have issues as well as the others on this title and full of it is the same protection too. I had another user spend a whole day tweaking the settings and such to knock out all possibilities from a failure and it was tough and a no go at that time. I'll let you know as soon as I get the title and try.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

Excellent, thank you. It's a vicious little protection but this version seems to handle it just fine. It only failed in Nero 7's Recode and DVD2One trial. And that was trying to open the disc directly. A rip using AnyDVD Ripper was ok.

What did you try to use that failed? The only two programs I couldn't get Blade to work with directly are Nero 7's Recode and DVD2One which I don't own. I'm curious as to the results you got.

Were you able to find your copy of Blade HoC to try with it? I'm still curious as to whether Recode in Nero 8 can open the disc directly. I still have NO idea why Recode can't open this one while DVD Shrink can. I tried both of my DVD burners plus mounting an ImgBurn made image with Daemon Tools and Recode from Nero 7 fails on all.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

Take the factor that Nero 8 is almost a gig download but I did play with a trial version a few weeks back and the Nero recode is a vast improvement from 7 I think. Still waking up and will get around on Blades to see but I am sure it will work.

Not yet, I just got home from my office and he is still sleeping, trying to find something in his room is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

I just purchased the Nero 8 upgrade at the reduced price. I was hesitant about it, but, I decided to go for it so when they release it I'll be able to download and install it. A GIG??? Are they insane? Obviously as with Nero 7 I will not be installing everything. Just the burning engine and Recode for me.

Trust me I understand the concept. My daughter's room is the same way. It's no big deal. More curiosity than anything. I want to know how much they improved Recode.

Finding my own stuff is like trying to find a needle in the hay stack Yes Sam. Nero 8 is like 985 MB's. I will be joining you as well most likely. Just install what I need only.

Re: Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 BETA

I was REALLY torn on buying this version. The only reason I got Nero 7 was because of Vista support. I just think it's gotten to bloated lately, and with a size of nearly a gig, it seems my fears are not without justification.

I really like it SamuriHL, its a great improvment over Nero 7, you cannot even compare the two, everything works on this version.

Now that *IS* a surprise! I can't wait to check it out. I'm glade they offered us a discount. That was nice of them. 30 bucks is 30 bucks.

Jeez I was hoping that they would tone down the bloatware factor, but they keep upping it with every version update.
