Please try AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 beta, available here:

This version features the new, "all-singing-all-dancing" long awaited "AI Scanner(tm)" and many other interesting changes. Please try it with as many DVDs (new, old, protected, unprotected) as you can. Please try it with CloneCD, CloneDVD and all 3rd party tools you may have in your possesion (Shrink, 1-click, Recode, ... )

6.1.7.5 2007 09 28
- New (DVD): New "AI Scanner(tm)" copy protection removal
Note: With AI Scanner, a lot of titles can now be processed
with programs like DVD Shrink *without* using the AnyDVD ripper!
This includes many Arccos protected titles.
- New (DVD): UDF remastering of .IFO and .BUP files
- New (DVD): Added support for new copy protections
- New (Blu-ray): Support for new titles
- Fix (DVD) AnyDVD ripper could complain, that the destination
directory has insufficient space
- Fix ( HD DVD & Blu-ray): Large I/O requests could cause the
"Magic File Replacement(tm)" to malfunction
- Fix: Integrity check could issue a false alarm
- Some minor fixes and improvements
- Updated languages

Well I just did Next with Shrink and it worked fine. And yes it worked great with CloneDVD2 also.

Well now that it is out seems new protection engines for more than one competitor these days.

This version has some powerful changes.

Well, it's out there now. Not much anyone can do about it. I will say that while this version has a few issues, it is by far the best DVD copy protection removing program I've ever seen. It can allow DVD Shrink to directly open discs that nothing else can without ripping first. Anyway, it's out there so we'll see how people react to it.

Not entirely. WebSlinger found a few bugs that need to be worked on. I found one where Recode can't directly open Blade HoC. However, CloneDVD and DVD Shrink can do it just fine. As can CloneCD doing a full image. I'm doing a full image with ImgBurn right now to see how that fairs. God I love this version!

All I can say is, take that copy-protection devs! Great job Slysoft. I am also very interested in the technical aspects of the options.

Works fine with DVD Rebuilder Pro/CCE. I have a 4.7 gig .iso of Bug movie only.

I have done extensive testing with Blade HoC:

AnyDVD Ripper - Good
CloneDVD FULL disc rip - Good
CloneCD full image - Good
ImgBurn full image - Good
DVD Shrink open disc directly - Good
Recode from Nero 7 open disc directly - Fail with unknown error
DVD2One trial - Crashes immediately when trying to do full disc
