Discussion Thread for AnyDVD 6.1.2.8

hi...i'm along time registered owner of all the slysoft products. this might not be the place to ask this question, but i'll ask anyway. can anyone list what my computer has to have in order to make this application work? example bigger processor, more ram, cyberlinkdvd ultra...can someone spell out exactly what i need in a computer, hardware and software to make it all work?
thanks in advance for any and all answers before i buy a new computer that might not fit the system requirements of this new software.

Below are the MINIMUM requirements for AnyDVD/AnyDVD HD/ CloneDVD as listed on the Official SlySoft Web Site (http://www.slysoft.com).

System Requirements For AnyDVD (Standard)
IBM-compatible PC with a minimum 500 MHz Pentium-class microprocessor and 64 MB RAM
Windows 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP/XP64/VISTA/VISTA64
2 MB hard-disk space

System Requirements For AnyDVD (HD)
IBM-compatible PC with a minimum 2 GHz Pentium-class microprocessor and 512 MB RAM
Windows 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP/XP64/VISTA/VISTA64
2 MB hard-disk space
AnyDVD HD required Windows 98 as the minimum OS for standard DVDs.
For HD decryption / ripping the minimum OS is Windows 2000 (latest SP).
PC Player software usually requires Windows XP SP2 as the minimum OS.

System Requirements For CloneDVD
An IBM-compatible personal computer with a minimum 500 MHz Pentium-class microprocessor (1 GHz recommended) and 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended)
Windows 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP/XP64/VISTA/VISTA64
If you use Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP you must be an administrator to install CloneDVD 2
DVD reader and preferably a DVD writer
About 5 GB of temporary available hard-drive space is necessary to clone DVDs

It should be noted that above information is the MINIMUM requirements. Realistically if you desire efficient and smooth error free results a prudent individual would desire a more substantial hardware package than the above listed MINIMUM requirements.

Personally I believe in the "Real World" if an individual actually attempted to use the AnyDVD-CloneDVD software package on a MINIMUM requirement computer as listed above would have great difficulty in processing a backup copy of a Commercial DVD Movie.
