Hey guys,

Has anyone had any luck making a backup of Diary of a Mad Black Woman?

I've used the latest versions of DVD Shrink, CloneDVD2, DVD Decrypter, DVD X Copy Platinum and Super DVD Copy with AnyDVD 5.2.3.1 running in the background without any success.

Seems this is a tough one.

What were the failures/symptoms with your various attempts? What release/region is the version you have? Is this a Sony release?
You could disable AnyDVD, copy and send the IFO file to Slysoft if you think it has a new type protection.

I was eventually able to make a backup with DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD disabled. I did get an read error in one of the VTS files and I simply selected Retry at that point and it carried on successfully.

I don't think that disabling AnyDVD made a difference.

FYI: This movie is a product of Lions Gate Home Entertainment.

I to had tried everything but I finally cracked it. I loaded it in my modded xbox and then used wsftp to transfer it to my computer in a folder. I then used nero 5.5.10.2 to burn it to a virtual cd (such as image.nrg) of course it was still encryped at this time. I then used dvd-dycrypter to remove the css protection. It did give me a strange error as it hit each file it would say this is odd this file should not be encypted but I just typed yes to all and it did it. Finally I used dvd-shrink to get it on a dvd5. Whew!!!!!!!!! They are getting tougher. The original would not show up in my computers dvd player and it would not let me tranfer it using my networked computer and it even reset my xbox repeatedly when I tried to play the original in it. Anyway I hope this helped

and do you also realize that the current version of anydvd (which i assume you have since this is in the anydvd forum) takes care of this title just fine...
