I have a BenQ and it rips and dups this no problem at all, even tried two versions of anydvd. Not trying to sell BenQ, but I guess this time it came in handy.

Good luck.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

Ok, so it looks like I finally got it. I will post again when I have verified that the burn worked.

I just let DVDFab Decrypter continue to run when it looked like it was hung. Only took the better part of 10 hours to finish ripping the files to the hard drive.

I am attempting to burn now.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

It burned successfully. Looks like I have a backup now. I will watch it all the way through and make sure it looks good, but for now I declare victory.

Not entirely True. I have 2 Plextors.. a 708A & 716A and my 716 backed up Cinderella Man just fine using VobBlanker 2.0.1.0. Actually it was my first time using VobBlanker and it ripped the whole movie to my HD just fine, then used CloneDVD2 to process it.

If it took that long, it was probably a bad original, DVDFab and DVDDecryptor (if you tell it to ignore errors) will usually keep plugging away, bypassing bad areas until it finishes. You might find some pixelization where the problem was when you view the movie.

Please read my whole post, I was ref to anydvd not vobblanker. I never said you can not do it with Plextor just not with the method I mentioned.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

I backed this one up using ClonedDVD 2.8.5.1 and AnyDVD 5.6.1.1 with region 1 and widescreen using the second button, clone dvd. I burned it to a Verbatim DL+ and it played perfectly, not even an issue with the layer break.

I also made a copy using anyDVD 5.6.1.1 + DVD Shrink and dvd decrypter no problems but it was the Canadain version. I dont know if it is any different from the US but it worked fine for me.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

Made a copy using anyDVD 5.6.3.1 (the very latest) + DVD Shrink. Here's the curious thing: I couldn't make a copy using my E drive (Samsung DVD-ROM SD-161E) to read the disc but was able to copy using F drive to read and then burn (Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-108). Apparently, all drives are not able to read the disc properly.

you'll find that some drives are better readers than others. at least you have a second drive so if you have issues you can try the other one!

I burned cinderella man with clone dvd 2. Worked fine, except it put the screenwriter's commentary on without anyway to turn it off. Did anyone else have this problem?

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

Probably I'm not smart as some you are, but I face the same problems as every body else but I got some solutions that work for me:
1) Open AnyDVD 5.6.3.1
2) Open DVD Decripter
3) Insert the disc
4) Copy to the hard drive of your choice
5) Open Your Program to encode and burn the movie.
Until now has been working good for me, you should give a try, nothing you loose if doesn't work for you.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

I got this movie to rip to my hard drive using dvd copy tools software, but my problem is when trying to play the burnt disk. It freezes, I've tried 3 different dvd burners, a sony, nec and hp. I tried 3 different type disks Hp, nexxtech and verbatim. All these disk would freeze then go. But if I watch the movie from my Hard drive it works great. My problem is burning to the disk. Ive tried using clonedvd, intervideo, dvd clonerIII also but to the same ending the disk freezes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

guess what Cinderella Man along with other movies can be done with DVDFab. Trust me I've tried them all. DVD Decrypter and DVDFab work the best. When DVD Decrypter fails than use DVDFab.

Re: Cinderella Man (US) Version

That comment concerning Plextor's chipset is simply not true. The PX-716A with Anydvd and Clonedvd2 is able to backup Cinderella Man R1 with ease (and has been able to for a long time). And you don't need Vobblanker.

As for the DVDFab comment . . .

Your problem is with either your burning software or your media... or possibly your burner. It has nothing to do with AnyDVD, CloneDVD, Intervideo, DVD Cloner, or any other DVD software.

Other than using the latest AnyDVD, I agree with this in principle. Ripping first to the hard disk works EVERY TIME.
