CERTAIN DVDs NOT RECOGNIZED

it seems that the search is not functioning properly.
apologies if this issue has already been addressed elsewhere in this forum.

anydvd does not recognize three different dvds, insisting that the device is empty.
2 of the dvds ('a tale of two sisters' & 'my neighbor totoro') are japanese and i initially thought that could be the problem, but anydvd has recently detected and aided me in copying many japanese films and the third dvd i am now having difficulty with is 'who framed roger rabbit'.

--- on the suggestion of someone who posted on this board in response to another's post who was experiencing something somewhat similar, i enabled safe mode.
anydvd then detected 'my neighbor totoro' and i was able to copy using 1 click dvd copy, but it still will not recognize anything is in the dvd drive when i put the other 2 in.

i have tried uninstall/reinstall of ide controllers and tried blowing into the device (seems sort of dusty) but nothing seems to work.
all 3 are clean, scratchless dvds & all work in my dvd player.

any suggestions/ideas/info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
~lethe

Re: CERTAIN DVDs NOT RECOGNIZED

I did who framed roger rabbit with any dvd 5.9.4.1 and dvd shrink with no problems. DVD Shrink is free too.

I own both Region 1 versions of these dvds (actually, A Tale of Two Sisters is Korean--not Japanese), and Anydvd 5.9.4.1 and Clonedvd2 2.8.9.2 work flawlessly with both of these titles.
