Cars, Little Man, An American Haunting, MI3, and more.

I can't back-up the Disney movie "Cars." Anything I use to do this just don't work. I've been using AnyDVD with CloneDVD, and I had no luck. I've trie RipIt4Me with DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and FixVTS - and still no luck. So i went another route - i tried AnyDVD with DVD Shrink. Nothing.

This has all happened since the new update with AnyDVD (6082); since then i've been having nothing but trouble with any DVD i try to back up - it's either error codes, or the DVD that goes through to the end of the backup, won't play in any player.

Not just "Cars," either - other titles that i've purchased lately: MI 3, Little Man, An American Haunting, Save the Last Dance, and more.

Is there new code on DVD's that are blocking this process once again? If this is the case, why hasn't anyone caught up with it yet?

In another AnyDVD Forum posting titled “Video_TS Folders Will Not Open” you had previously posted that you were having difficulties with AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 and were unable to make playable backup copies of your Commercial DVDs.

In the AnyDVD Forum posting “Video_TS Folders Will Not Open” you were requested to review the AnyDVD Forum “Read First” posting titled “New posters with ripping/burning problems” (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=182650) and were requested by two Forum Members to provided the pertinent information requested in the referenced “New posters with ripping/burning problems” posting. As of this date/time you have not responded to those request.

Now you have decided to open another Forum AnyDVD Forum posting concerning your problems making backup copies of your Commercial DVDs. Until you take the time and effort to provide the pertinent information requested in the AnyDVD Forum “Read First” posting titled “New posters with ripping/burning problems” (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=182650) Forum Members will be unable to provide any meaningful assistance.

Back-UP ALL with Any DVD V6.0.8.2 & CloneDVD 2.0.8.1 with out even braking out the hardware.

Has to be a Burnin' issue! many many Burnin do have issue with AnyDVD or other burnin or rippin' programs.

I had the same problem as you, several times, tried to backup little man and cars last night, and well, it's been giving me trouble with anydvd 6.0.8.2 and dvd decryptor and tried dvd shrink instead.....

It failed all times with each, I reboot my pc and try again, 50%/50% chance it works, I've rebooted my pc over ten times just to copy those two movies, finally it worked with dvd shrink for little man and dvd decryptor for cars, but I agree there is a BIG problem with any dvd 6.0.8.2's decrypting.....

So if i'm to tell you all about my software, system, movies, region codes, etc.. you'll be able to tell me what the problem is? Does that solve the problems of "most" of the same problems people are having with the same movies and software?
This new release of AnyDVD, all of a sudden, had made making backups of my movies a pain. Isn't that simple enough? If i say i have the same problem on more than one computer, shouldn't that be enough? I asked a simple question: Is there new code written on DVD's - the answer i get back is to check a link that tells me to supply information that's useless to what i ask.
My main computer has 4 DVD burners - each one does not burn a disk correctly with the new AnyDVD update. I have 5 other computers in my house, with similiar DVD burners - the same problem occurs trying to back up the same movies. The last AnyDVD verison i had there were no problems backing up any movies - Gee, to me, this means it must be the new update that's causing the problem. The only thing that's changed on my systems is AnyDVD - why would it be necessary to list my information, when it's more than just "Me" that's having the same problems as quite a few other people, with the same movies. I only see a small amount of people that "Can" copy the movies in question. Does this make it the fault of the rest of the people that use the software that's in question, also?

As far as providing information about my system, hardware, and sofware that's in use while trying to backup movies; the software i use to backup movies is no different than that of the rest of the people that post in here - i have it all, and mix and match to get the results that i'm looking for - each verison is the latest, and there's no issues with any of it. My hardware is all up to date, and all (on all my systems) is less than a year old - no issues there.

As far as someone over the internet, that i don't know, trying to give me pointers or fixes for my systems, whereas they may work correctly, is a little far fetched - don't you think? Especially since i've been in this business for over 10 years; building, designing, and implementing systems worldwide.

So - to make it a bit more clear - i've re-installed the version before this latest update, and now the movies that didn't want to burn correctly before, now seem to burn correctly -- funny thing, isn't it?

Don't assume everyone has no clue of their systems.
Sometimes a simple question asked deserves a simple answer.

Re: Cars, Little Man, An American Haunting, MI3, and more.

Well with being in the building systems business then you know all to well that each system can be different. Glad it all is fixed now. The link is to provide other users that want to offer help. The more harsware and media info we know the easier it is to offer help instead of saying : check the IDE, update the firmware ect... the list can go on and on. This is why cdfreaks ask for these details on a person with a problem. No one is here to offend anyone and for sure not to put down someones choice of hardware or software. It just gives us an ideal to look at while trying to trouble shoot the issue. I for one have such an outdated system it ain't funny. I think it is about 8 or 9 years old? Anyhow glad to see you got things worked out now. Happy burning.

It appears that you have no desire to get to the route cause of your problem.

If you bother to review postings from other Forum Members who have problems with using the AnyDVD software you will note that when they take the time and effort to provide the information requested in the AnyDVD Forum Read First “New posters with ripping/burning problems” that usually knowledgeable Forum Members are able to assist the Original Poster with his problem.

It should be noted that whenever SlySoft/Elaborate Bytes are made aware of any problems with SlySoft/Elaborate Bytes software product they have quickly released improved updates. During the past 25 days since AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 has been released it has demonstrated to SlySoft/Elaborate Bytes Technical Staff (and to many satisfied customers) that it is a functioning stable error free software product.

Forum Member BeLooken reports that he/she has AnyDVD v6.0.8.2/Clone v2.9.01 running on 4 different computer configurations and hasn’t encountered any problems. Well I am going to throw in the fact that my family has AnyDVD v6.0.8.2/Clone v2.9.01 running on 5 different computer configurations and haven’t had any problems making backup copies of numerous Commercial DVD Movies including Cars, MI3, and An American Haunting without any problems.

No there is not some “New Code” employed on DVDs that are blocking the backup copying process.

You aren’t the only computer literate individual that frequent the internet and in particular the CD Freaks Forum. It might surprise you to know the Software Developers who actually wrote the AnyDVD/ClonDVD/CloneCD software programs are active contributing CD Freaks Forum Members and routinely visit/review the AnyDVD/ CloneDVD/CloneCD Forums. It is just possible if you provided the AnyDVD Forum Read First “New posters with ripping/burning problems” requested information they could have analyzed the data and discover why you were having difficulties with your AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 but you will never know will you - funny thing, isn't it?

Best Regards,

Re: Cars, Little Man, An American Haunting, MI3, and more.

To add to your statement too I have 3 PC's and some are really old and all worked fine on those with these titles too. I'm going out on a limb here and tell you all the burning apps I have installed and they indeed burn these movies as I test the software all the time. DVD X COPY Platinum revamped meaning a new owner redid it to do all the newer movies, CloneDVD2, Anydvd, DVD Rebuilder Pro, DVD95 Copy Pro, DVD neXt COPY, Nero but I don't test Nero. I gave up on free software not too long ago. I also think I speak for the majority here that we thank Slysoft for allowing us to use the program anydvd to use with whatever burning app. we choose they could easily fix it to just work on CloneDVD2 and then what? Yes this won't happen but just saying thanks for allowing us to use whatever burning App we choose to. Anyways back to the point all these burning apps copied these titles just fine. X Copy revamped I didn't use anydvd, DVD neXt COPY didn't use anydvd, DVD95 Copy Pro I didn't use anydvd. So there is no special new encryptions to these titles. Sorry for getting off subject, I just wanted to show that there is a wide arranged DVD Copying software to use and be successful here.

Re: Cars, Little Man, An American Haunting, MI3, and more.

ed82264 -

I have to agree with the knowledgeable Forum Member bjkg that it appears that you don’t really want to figure out why you are having problems with AnyDVD v6.0.8.2.

A review of the AnyDVD and CloneDVD Forum displays the fact that numerous other Forum Members have not had any problems with the AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 software and that in AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 is stable error free software program.

This is clear indication that in fact the AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 software program is functioning correctly and usually means the reason that some individuals have problems is related to some type of interference caused by the particular software/hardware configuration of the particular computer.

Your premise that providing the particular software/hardware configuration of your computer provides no troubleshooting value is drastically flawed. Providing this basic pertinent information is the vital first step in identifying possible causes.

Until you provide specific the software/hardware configuration of your particular computer it will be almost impossible for knowledgeable Forum Members to provide meaning assistance. I believe that was the purposed of your two AnyDVD Forum postings wasn’t it?

As Forum Member bjkg points out the Software Developers who actually wrote the AnyDVD/ClonDVD/CloneCD software programs are active contributing CD Freaks Forum Members and routinely visit/review the AnyDVD/CloneDVD/CloneCD Forums. Possibly by providing the particular software/hardware configuration of your particular computer these SlySoft/ Elaborate Bytes Software Developers might be able to shed some light on your problem.

You state that you have 5 different computers with the similar DVD burners. Have you considered the possibility your problem could be rated to “Similar DVD Burners” ? This fact could be easily over looked when a closed minded individual is unjustly convinced that his problem is caused by the AnyDVD v6.0.8.2 software program.

no offence but DVD X COPY Platinum??????
It was my first burning prog
I loved the caution message
about 3 weeks into it my hdd crashed for some reason and when I tired to re-install it would'nt do so because all licences had been used up!!!!!!.(not true) It had really faulty activation process
I hate progs with activation
Lucky I was within the 30 day money-back trial and got my 90 bucks back
and about this time I discovered Dvd shrink, and then SS progs from this forum and the rest is history

Re: Cars, Little Man, An American Haunting, MI3, and more.

i also had trouble with these. Finally was able to get CARS buy ripping and decrypting with DVD Decrypt and then buring from the file that it created on my hardrive using CloneDVD2. Used DVDFab on all of the movies you are having problems with and had no problems or errors at all. It was the simplist process. It seems that Fab is decrypting where DVDDecrypter is having read errors.

No offence taken this has been revamped and didn't have a problem activating due to new coding and as far as the 321 logo on the back up....all gone but let's not get of topic here.
