Copied Madagascar DVD (Widescreen) with no problems.

Canada region 1

Sony DvD Burner DRU800-A, Firmware Ver 5.0
Used AnyDVD Ver 5.5.1.1 and DVD Decrypter Ver 3.5.4.0

Great news finally. Anydvd 5.5.5.1 and CloneDVD 2.8.5.1 burned a perfect copy of the the widescreen region 1 Madagascar. The menu navigation is not perfect, but the original wasn't so that isn't any suprise. Good job guys! Do you accept tips?

were you able to rip madagascar?
I'm having trouble with it not playing, i use anydvd and clonedvd. it rips but, when i play it, it doesnt work.

Where did you try to play it? Does it play on your computer (I assume the original disc does)?

Hey guys,

Anyone had problems with "War of the Worlds" backup? I backed it up once, no errors, however, the backup was defective (the old problem of scenes freezing and jumping forward to other chapter). The original DVD is region 4 and I am using AnyDVD 5.4.4.1.

It may be a bad DVD and I will try again soon. Just checking if it happened elsewhere...

You may want to try the latest version of ANYDVD which is 5.5.5.1.

Used latest AnyDVD (5.5.5.1) and CloneDVD2 (2.8.5.1) and copied War of the Worlds (Region1/WS) without any problems at all.

I too am using Any DVD and Clone DVD2 and can't get War of the Worlds, full screen,
goes to 93% or reading DVD and says sector error.

I used DVD Fab Decryption with Any DVD 5.5.5.1 running in the background. Madagascar copied to the hard drive fine, but when I used DVD Shrink 3.2 with Nero 7 the encryption gets to about 75% done and then says there is not enough memory. But there is still space on the drive. Is there something that can be done?

Had the same problem...couldn't backup Madagascar, region 1 widescreen, using AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 and Nero Recode 2. But after reading some of the posts here I downloaded the latest version of CloneDVD and tried again. Got my backup without a hitch. Plays beautifully, no problems with any content or menus.

Bigmomma,

Make sure your disc is not dirty or scratched. If it looks good, try it again. If it fails again try with DVD Decrypter w/o AnyDVD running (nothing special on this movie). If that does not work, then exchange the movie for a new one.

I also tried backing up this movie with andvd 5551 and dvd shrink and also got the ran out of memory warning . tried with anydvd and clonedvd and had success using this meathod .
but it still annoyed me that anydvd did not work with shrink so I downloaded dvd region free and I was able to rip this movie to the hard drive no problems through shrink and compress ok .
however when I tried using region free with dvd decryptor would rip to hard drive ok but would not process through shrink . perhaps decryptor has had its day a shame as it a great piece of software

I tried to copy the VIDEO_TS folder on my harddrive with AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 running (default settings), but i always have an error with the VTS_08_1.VOB file.

For those of you who said AnyDVD/Clone DVD worked but the menus aren't right and the menus on the original also aren't right -
Are the menus on the copy broken in the same way that they were on the original?

Maybe a little bit more work but i used DVD Decrypter to copy an ISO to my HDD and then opened up the saved ISO with DVD Shrink

I buy and recieve my originals fast through Amazon and/or retail store. I often pay for overnight delivery or 1day with amazon. I'm not so pretensious as you and I got it midight the day of release, ahead of your mail delivery.
